A Letter from the Siddha Yoga Swamis
about the Siddha Yoga Chanting Tour: Australia 2014

March 4, 2014

Dear Siddha Yogis,

Everything happens in God’s Time.
Trust in the power of your intention.
Remember the Guru’s Grace.
Keep your focus on your spiritual practices.

These teachings from Gurumayi lead seekers to the Truth.

We, the Siddha Yoga Swamis, hold the Siddha Yoga path very dear to our hearts. We have something wonderful to share with you about "Everything happens in God’s Time."

When Gurumayi was on tour in New Zealand in 1997, she held chanting satsangs each night for a full week, leading up to the Siddha Yoga Shaktipat Intensive. During these satsangs, Siddha Yogis and new seekers alike experienced immense transformation through the power of chanting. By the time they participated in the Shaktipat Intensive, they were entirely ready to receive shaktipat initiation from Gurumayi and experience the awakening of Kundalini Shakti within themselves.

In the Shaktipat Intensive, time seemed to suspend itself—as if the Intensive were taking place in eternity. At the conclusion of the Shaktipat Intensive, after Gurumayi gave darshan she invited the participants to stand. Gurumayi began to chant and, spontaneously, a dancing saptah emerged. The participants were ecstatic! They moved as if they themselves were galaxies filled with light—there was no beginning and no end. The divine power of chanting in Gurumayi’s presence!

At the completion of Gurumayi’s tour to Australia and New Zealand, Gurumayi shared her intention that one day there would be a Siddha Yoga Chanting Tour in Australia.

This is the "something" we want to share with you… Exciting. Wondrous. Transformative. It’s happening! In God’s Time.

The Siddha Yoga Chanting Tour: Australia 2014

We are overjoyed to announce that the Chanting Tour will launch on March 22, 2014, in Melbourne, Australia.

And there’s more! Can you feel how stupendously thrilled we are? You can, right?

Gurumayi has also given a name to this Chanting Tour:

Satyam Shivam Sundaram

Satyam is truth. Shivam is auspiciousness. Sundaram is beauty. These Sanskrit words are fundamental to living a life of dharma. Their origins are as primordial as the sound AUM.

Gurumayi shared with us that she attributes this title for the Chanting Tour to Bhagavan Nityananda. One evening, just after Gurumayi had concluded chanting and meditating in Bade Baba’s Temple at Shree Muktananda Ashram, she was having Bade Baba’s darshan and reflecting on the Chanting Tour. She was envisioning Siddha Yogis and new seekers chanting in Australia and how the entire world will benefit from this Chanting Tour. Gurumayi held her palms up toward Bade Baba and said, "O Bade Baba, the Chanting Tour in Australia..." In that moment, a beam of light radiated from Bade Baba’s face, and these three sacred words—Satyam Shivam Sundaram—entered Gurumayi as she gazed at Bade Baba’s golden smile.

The next day, Gurumayi shared her delight that she had received this gift from Bade Baba of the title for the Siddha Yoga Chanting Tour: Australia 2014. Gurumayi explained why this is a perfect title:

"The chant itself is Satyam Shivam Sundaram.
The practice of chanting is Satyam Shivam Sundaram.
The fruit of chanting is also Satyam Shivam Sundaram."

We, the Siddha Yoga Swamis, wish to explain to you the power of the Guru’s intention. The Guru’s intention carries untold blessings and the power of transformation. When Gurumayi gives shaktipat, it is the fruit of her intention. Similarly, the Siddha Yoga Chanting Tour taking place in Australia is Gurumayi’s intention.

We warmly invite you to participate in the Siddha Yoga Chanting Tour: Australia 2014—Satyam Shivam Sundaram—and experience the glory of chanting. Continue to visit the Siddha Yoga path website to stay in tune with the Siddha Yoga Chanting Tour, and for information about how to participate.

On Gurumayi’s behalf, we extend appreciation to the Siddha Yoga Foundation in Australia for hosting the Chanting Tour in Australia, and to the sevites and Siddha Yogis around the world who are contributing immensely to the success of the Siddha Yoga Chanting Tour: Australia 2014—Satyam Shivam Sundaram.

On the Siddha Yoga path, whenever the Guru’s intention is being fulfilled, it is a tradition for Siddha Yogis to offer our love and blessings. So let’s make time every day to send our love and blessings for this historic and transformative Siddha Yoga event. May we experience freedom in our hearts as we participate in the Siddha Yoga Chanting Tour, and may our voices become instruments of peace in this world.

Warm regards,

The Siddha Yoga Swamis

For many years I have been blessed with the gift of hearing chants inside myself. However, for the last couple of days before we all offered Shri Guru Gita for the Siddha Yoga Chanting Tour in Australia, the chants have been playing inside me for longer periods of time, and I have been hearing lots of different ones: the Arati and many namasankirtanas. It seems like the tour has already begun inside me too!

These teachings from Gurumayi that the Swamis share in their letter are an answer to every question—spiritual and worldly—that I have been having in my life. I keep re-reading these teachings, and I feel that Gurumayi’s words are alive—guiding me, reassuring me, and encouraging me. Every sentence has its own unique importance, and together they form a complete teaching that shows me what attitude and outlook to have and what kind of efforts to make. And they remind me that the Guru's grace is always with me.

Thank you, beloved Gurumayi.

For several days, I’ve experienced myself preparing for the Chanting Tour: Australia 2014 Satyam Shivam Sundaram in a very unique way. Every day, as I leave my house to go to work, my heart starts singing Om Namo Bhagavate Muktanandaya with great joy and love. While riding my bike, I experience immense love and gratitude for Babaji and Shri Gurumayi. While chanting, it seems to me that the trees, people, animals, children, elderly people, vehicles, the air, the sky—anything that comes before my eyes—are chanting Om Namo Bhagavate Muktanandaya. This experience is so tangible. It has helped me to understand nature and communicate with it. I experience this joy, love, and gratitude throughout the day. Whenever I am free from my computer or any other work, I spontaneously start chanting.

From my experience, it seems to me that the whole universe is preparing for the Chanting Tour with great joy, enthusiasm, love, and glory.

Thank you, Gurumayiji and Babaji, for your love and blessings.

The Chanting Tour has begun to take shape here in Melbourne. It has arrived, to blossom and to bloom in the most wondrous and unexpected ways. Carlos, the music teacher and conductor for the Chanting Tour, has arrived and rehearsals have begun. Sevites are stepping into their roles. We are feeling Gurumayi present here with us. There’s a sense of great anticipation of what is yet to be born of Gurumayi’s intention and our self-effort.

Thank you, Gurumayi, for this great honor.

What fabulous news! Thank you, Gurumayi, for sharing your intention, so many years ago, to have this Chanting Tour. We are fortunate to be able to participate in its coming to fruition.

For the past few months, I've been focusing on my chanting. And I've felt so supported in my efforts. Fellow Siddha Yogis have suggested books by Gurumayi in which she speaks about the power of chanting. (I also look forward to revisiting the CD recording of "Let Your Heart Sing.") On this website, I've found great value in the calendar of namasankirtanas, and in the audio clips of chants and bhajans, like those posted recently for Mahashivaratri.

I know the Chanting Tour will build on all of this support. It will teach me how to deepen my practice, how to chant with all my heart, and, as the Swamis so eloquently put it, how to use my voice as an "instrument of peace."

Thank you to the Swamis for this beautiful letter! I’m so happy that the Chanting Tour is happening—and I feel totally connected to it. I learned to chant in 1974 with Baba. Chanting really did change my life dramatically then, and it continues to do so.

For me, chanting is a transformative engine that powers my practices of mantra japa and meditation. Right now, I’m breathing So’ham in and out in support of this Chanting Tour and everything else Gurumayi is doing.

Have great success with the Chanting Tour!

Ever since the Chanting Tour was announced, I have naturally incorporated chanting in my day-to-day chores: standing idly in a queue, waiting for someone, cooking, walking, driving.

The Guru’s intention is so powerful and yet so subtle. I realize that my chanting experience has become deeper. There is a gentle remembrance of God in whatever I do while chanting. I can perceive the timelessness of the soul and easily reconnect to what is essential. Truth, auspiciousness, and beauty rise on the horizon of my heart as I chant.

Thank you, Gurumayi, for this boon and for the gifts yet to be unwrapped during the Chanting Tour!

We are delighted to make a donation to the Chanting Tour in Australia.

Something very magical and wonder-filled is unfolding.  To be able to serve Gurumayi and to support the dissemination of the Siddha Yoga teachings is truly the most precious gift of many lifetimes!

Thank you, dearest Gurumayi, for offering to the cosmos Satyam Shivam Sundaram, the Siddha Yoga Chanting Tour: Australia 2014. The stars, planets, galaxies, and all of nature must be smiling with joy.

a Siddha Yogi from Missouri, USA

The buzz inside me began the moment I heard about the Siddha Yoga Chanting Tour: Australia 2014. I can feel the joy and excitement of the devotees from Australia and from everyone around the world. I feel that the earth is being healed every moment by all the practices and mantras being repeated with such love, and I wait with bated breath for the Chanting Tour to officially begin.

Prayers, protection, and blessings to the Chanting Tour sevites. Thank you to all the Swamis for sharing with all of us such a deep, touching letter.

Gurumayi, Baba, and Bade Baba, this glowing path that I am so grateful to walk on never ceases to amaze me.

Thank you.

Last month, while participating in the Pilgrimage to the Heart Retreat, we were blessed with the opportunity to chant throughout the day. For two days, I heard continuous divine chanting while meditating. This was such a wonderful gift for me, since I have been praying for years to hear celestial music within.

After arriving home, filled with immense joy and peace, I sat and meditated. I found myself sitting with Gurumayi. Her glance of love filled my being. I heard myself say to my beloved Guru, "All I want to do is dance and sing!" I realized that chanting is the song of the Self!

I am so grateful to have the opportunity to participate in the Chanting Tour and to immerse myself again in the blissful soundless sound I experienced in Gurudev Siddha Peeth.

Thank you, Gurumayi.

I love reading the letter from the Swamis describing Gurumayi's experience with Bade Baba in the Temple. What an amazing gift to receive both this great teaching and the process through which it was revealed!  I chanted the mantra before going to bed last night and dreamt that I was in a beautiful hall with many Swamis and students. Gurumayi was teaching us a new chant with great love and ecstasy, and together we were singing our love to God.  Perhaps in some realm the Chanting Tour has begun!

a Siddha Yogi from Colorado, USA

As I read the Swamis’ letter, I felt a powerful bolt of energy hit my heart. Just as I’ve been feeling full to the brim, my heart is called to expand even more! What an incredible, awesome, life-transforming gift and opportunity we are being given through the Siddha Yoga Chanting Tour: Australia 2014—the power to not only transform ourselves but also the whole world.

I plan to begin my day each morning by bowing before my puja and offering all my love and blessings for the Chanting Tour. May it fulfill Gurumayi’s intention for all of us and our world.

Thank you, beloved Gurumayi!

a Siddha Yogi from Washington, USA

I had a beautiful dream about Gurumayi.

She is walking by a large group of people, and as she passes, she begins chanting. While she chants, I understand that we have now reached a place beyond thoughts and words. We are now ready to immerse ourselves wholly in the divine practice of chanting.

a Siddha Yogi from New York, USA

As an Australian, I am so touched by the shares of people all around the world who seem as excited about this Chanting Tour as we are.

To all you wonderful people around the globe, giving your great hearts in support, thank you! May we all share in the experience of Satyam Shivam Sundaram.

a Siddha Yogi from Sydney, Australia

Oh, how the Siddha Yoga Gurus continue to shower the world with so much grace!  I find that, with each auspicious event, my heart opens more and more, allowing the rays of light of the Self to shine upon my awareness, increasing my joy.

As the sacred chants emanate from "the space of flawless quietude," peace will emanate from them and circle the globe with love.

Thank you, Gurumayi. And thank you to all the sevites who are helping to make this auspicious event possible!

a Siddha Yogi from New York, USA

When I first beheld the banner announcing the Siddha Yoga Chanting Tour, I experienced profound silence, and in that moment, a reawakening of an ancient knowing. Simultaneously, I felt an inner sense that this tour will be of incomparable benefit to the world. As I was able to drink in each element of the banner—the colors, the font of the Sanskrit words, the logo—I found it blissfully and aesthetically pleasing. I felt I had a glimpse into Gurumayi's sankalpa for the Chanting Tour.

I humbly and with great gratitude offer my prayers in support of this tour. May the full power and majesty of Gurumayi's sankalpa be fulfilled and manifested, with the global sangham aligning itself through complete and joyous participation. May hearts around the world join in recognition and celebration of the exalted Truth through chanting. May we all offer a thousand pranams in gratitude for the incomparable gift being bestowed by the Guru. May all behold the immense beauty of the lotus of the heart. May love abound!

Thank you, Gurumayi!

2014 has begun with so much happening on our path with Gurumayi! Siddha Yoga music comes from the highest, from perfection. Each musician offers from the heart. Thank you all. I received the gift of shaktipat through chanting God's name. And now the Chanting Tour and the immense blessings from Gurumayi will reach us all. Thank you for making this happen in God's Time.

a Siddha Yogi from Nairobi, Kenya

Thank you to the Siddha Yoga Swamis for explaining to us the importance of the Guru's intention. I was deeply touched, and I can feel that every fiber of my being wants to be aligned with my Guru's intention. I plan to chant and hum during the day, and to feel the beauty of auspiciousness scintillating in the air.

Thank you so much, Gurumayi.

a Siddha Yogi from Zurich, Switzerland

I read the letter and saw the picture of Australia inside the world, and I saw immense beauty. It showed the goldenness of chanting. The image and the title of the tour make me feel that truth, auspiciousness, and beauty are in everyone and that chanting will bring them out!

an eleven-year-old Siddha Yogi from South Yarra, Australia

What a gift this letter is!

It is incredible to feel the pulsing power of the Chanting Tour and to contemplate the words of the title.

Gurumayi, your gifts and waves of love are so abundant, so constant, and so eternal. I feel so blessed to be a sevite for this Tour.

Thank you for opening my heart.

a Siddha Yogi from Melbourne, Australia

As I awoke this morning, I did not want to leave my dream behind. In the dream, I am at a dancing saptah with Gurumayi. The hall is drenched in exquisite sunlight. The chanting is joyous, celestial, electric—and completely liberating. We swirl and dance. Gurumayi is dancing and chanting with us. There is no time per se, only eternity.

Later this morning, I arrived at my office and visited the Siddha Yoga path website. As I read the letter from the Swamis, I remembered my dream.

I cannot help but feel the immense focus of Gurumayi's sankalpa for this monumental event. My prayer is that the hearts of all seekers respond to the prompting to partake of this nectar and bask eternally in the vision of the Siddhas.

And I can remember to focus on the spiritual practices day-to-day, and to fully embrace seva as a spiritual practice.

Thank you, Bade Baba, for the strong title. And thank you, Gurumayi, for the Chanting Tour!  It is so very gorgeous to see Australian treasures of gold and opal in the scintillating artwork!

a Siddha Yogi from Melbourne, Australia

I read the letter from the Siddha Yoga Swamis with great delight. My heart opened wide when I read about the name Satyam Shivam Sundaram. When I stood up and left the computer, I saw literally dozens and dozens of birds in the big trees in our back yard. I opened the window and listened to them singing and chirping in the cold, crisp air. I felt as if they were announcing the Chanting Tour and encouraging me to praise this day and every day, remembering the Guru's grace.

a Siddha Yogi from Maryland, USA

Thank you, dear Siddha Yogi Swamis, for sharing this auspicious, truth-filled, and most beautiful intention with us. I feel that peace will be promoted through this Chanting Tour, through the soundless sound that lies at the heart of chanting and at the heart of this very world.

I offer my pranams to Gurumayi, to Baba, and to Bade Baba for making this tour possible.

a Siddha Yogi from Wisconsin, USA

I now recognize that I have been experiencing Satyam Shivam Sundaram.

My heart is overflowing with love for my Guru, for my path, and for the global sangham. My conviction for what this Chanting Tour will bring to all of our lives, to the world, and to the cosmos is unshakeable. I am inviting my friends, family, and seekers with abandon! There is no separation between us when we offer seva with love and chant together, aligning with the Guru's intention.

Thank you, Gurumayi.  And thank you to all the sevites around the globe, who are offering seva and sending their blessings for the success of the Chanting Tour.

It feels as if the entire cosmos has already begun to sing Satyam Shivam Sundaram.

Many, many wishes and blessings for the Chanting Tour.
