The
time of Sai Baba's youth in the early 1800's is a turbulent
time in India, with much unrest between the Moslems and Hindus.
Young Babu, as he is called, has been adopted by a Moslem
family.
While
Babu is still a young boy, his foster father dies, leaving
his adoptive mother alone and afraid. Raising Babu is no easy
task, for Babu is drawn to worship all deities, Hindu and
Moslem, causing his foster mother no end of troubles in the
village temples and mosques.
