The village community turns against Babu for his heretic ways, so his mother decides to bring him to the ashram of the sage Venkusha. With a heavy heart she leaves Babu there.

But at first sight of Venkusha, Babu is immediately overcome with love for this holy man. And the sage himself had a dream the night before, foretelling the arrival of Shiva Himself to his ashram that very morning. With great honor, he takes Babu into his care.
