The Course

How does the course work?
Each year of the Home Study Course focuses on a subject central to spiritual practice on the Siddha Yoga path. Each subject consists of twelve lessons, one per month, sent by postal mail as a printed booklet and audio CD. You begin the Home Study Course with the subject titled The Power of Siddha Yoga: Path of the Heart. After your first year of the course, you can enroll in the other subjects in any order you choose.

If I have already completed The Power of Siddha Yoga Contemplation, do I need to take The Power of Siddha Yoga: Path of the Heart before I can register for The Power of Recognition: Kundalini Shakti or The Power of Siddha Yoga Meditation?
No. You are welcome to register for any of the other three subjects.

How to Study

What is the best way to study or read the course?
It's best to schedule times for study when you will not be interrupted so you can work with the lesson and do the exercises and practices. It's also helpful to record your insights and understandings in your journal. In addition, many students find it helpful to study, perhaps once a week or so, with a study-buddy or in a Home Study Course group. If this appeals to you, you are welcome to form a group with other course participants.

Will everyone receive the same lesson at the same time?
Yes, because of the synchronous delivery, students around the world who are studying the same subject are receiving the same lesson each month. If you register after December 15th, you will receive the previous lessons with the current lesson.

Are there any Siddha Yoga Home Study Course study groups?
Yes, some students choose to study with other students who are subscribing to the same subject. It’s also fine to study by yourself if you prefer.
