At Shree Muktananda Ashram, Long-term Retreat Participants and Visiting Sevites offer seva to support the work of the SYDA Foundation.
Many Siddha Yoga students dedicate a year or more to offer their expertise and skills in full-time seva with the SYDA Foundation. Others offer seva for shorter periods of time, based on available seva projects. In these ways, Siddha Yoga students contribute to the SYDA Foundation’s purpose to protect, preserve, and disseminate the Siddha Yoga teachings. This offering of service ensures the Siddha Yoga legacy for generations to come.
There are both long and short-term seva positions available at Shree Muktananda Ashram.
- Long-term (Long-term Retreat Participant, six months or more)
- Short-term (Visiting Sevite, one week to six months)
In addition to those at Shree Muktananda Ashram, seva opportunities are also available
- at Gurudev Siddha Peeth (the Siddha Yoga ashram in Ganeshpuri, India ), both short- and long-term,
- at the Siddha Yoga Ashram in Oakland, California,
- in your own community at a Siddha Yoga meditation center, ashram, or chanting and meditation group.
There are volunteer positions open with the philanthropic organization The PRASAD Project.
