Seva OpportunitiesThere are many ways you can take part in the spiritual practice of seva. In addition to opportunities at Siddha Yoga meditation centers, ashrams, and chanting and meditation groups around the globe, you can offer seva for the SYDA Foundation. In this way you contribute to the Foundation’s purpose to protect, preserve, and disseminate the Siddha Yoga teachings. Here are two ways you can offer seva for the SYDA Foundation at Shree Muktananda Ashram: Long-term: As a long-term retreat participant at Shree Muktananda Ashram, you have a unique opportunity to serve full time while diving into Siddha Yoga practice and study and taking part in the ashram daily schedule. You can apply to serve as a long-term retreat participant for a period of six months or longer by applying for one of the open seva positions. Short-term: As a visiting sevite at Shree Muktananda Ashram, you bring specific skills to seva projects for the SYDA Foundation for periods of one week to six months. Many visiting sevites go on to offer seva for SYDA Foundation departments from home. If you would like to find out more about short-term positions and to register your interest—along with your availability, skills, and experience—please visit the Enter/Update Your Seva Information page. Additional Seva Opportunities are available at Gurudev Siddha Peeth (the Siddha Yoga ashram in Ganeshpuri, India), the Siddha Yoga Ashram in Oakland, California, and with the philanthropic organization The PRASAD Project. |
