On Sunday June 24, 2012, thousands of Siddha Yogis globally celebrated
Gurumayi Chidvilasananda’s Birthday together via the Siddha Yoga path website, by participating in
Pilgrimage: A Day of Siddha Yoga Practice and Teaching.
This was truly an inaugural event—the first time Siddha Yogis celebrated Gurumayi’s Birthday together on the Siddha Yoga path website, as the day unfolded.
After viewing the chapter “Salutations to Shri Guru,” one devotee shared, “Gurumayi, as you walked into the hall during the ‘Happy Birthday’ song and waved both of your hands, I felt you waving to all of us across the globe, welcoming us to celebrate your birthday with you.”
First of all, we wish to thank you, Gurumayi, our beloved Guru, for giving your vision, guidance, and inspiration for this day of pilgrimage. We join Siddha Yogis around the world in offering you, Gurumayi, our overflowing gratitude for this celebration!
Thank you to the many, many, many people who stepped forward to offer your talents and skills to the Birthday Bliss 2012 celebration: videographers, directors and video editors, photographers, web developers; artists and designers; writers, reviewers, and copyeditors; musicians, chefs—on and on. With willing hands and open hearts, you carried out Gurumayi’s vision for this extraordinary day of pilgrimage.
Thank you to the children in Shree Muktananda Ashram—for singing and chanting and blowing out the candles on the Birthday Bliss cake. Also, thank you to all the children in the global Siddha Yoga sangham who took delight in celebrating Gurumayi’s Birthday.
Thank you to every single person who participated in the Birthday Bliss 2012.
So many of you have contributed to this worldwide Siddha Yoga satsang through your shares and experiences on the Siddha Yoga path website. Thank you very much.
We have more good news for you. The Birthday Bliss 2012 web postings will remain on the Siddha Yoga path website throughout the month of July.
Happy Birthday Bliss 2012!
Happy Birthday Gurumayi!
We thank you again and again for your teachings, your grace, and your blessings.
With love and appreciation,
The SYDA Foundation Board of Trustees
