Letter from SYDA Foundation Management—Earthquake in Chile
Dear Siddha Yogi,
On Saturday, February 27, an 8.8 magnitude earthquake struck the west coast of Chile at 3:34 am, local time. The epicenter was 70 miles from Concepcion, Chile’s second-largest city and about 200 miles southwest of Santiago, the capital city. Casualties have been reported and a tsunami warning is in effect for the entire Pacific region. The warning extends as far as Hawaii, where people living in coastal areas are being asked to evacuate to higher ground as a safety precaution.
The SYDA Foundation Global Operations Department is checking on the safety and wellbeing of the Siddha Yogis in Chile as well as those who are under the tsunami warning. SYDA Foundation Management will continue to keep you updated on this situation via postings on the Siddha Yoga website.
The PRASAD Project is supporting the Chile earthquake relief effort. If you wish to make a donation, visit the PRASAD website.
Thank you for offering your prayers for all those affected by this tragic event. Let us continue to join together in offering our prayers and blessings.
With best regards,
SYDA Foundation Management
