Update from SYDA Foundation Management—Earthquake in Chile

February 28, 2010

Dear Siddha Yogi,

The 8.8 magnitude earthquake that occurred in Chile on Saturday, February 27, was followed by numerous aftershocks. There have been over 700 casualties and more than 1.5 million people are displaced from their homes.

To support the relief efforts in Chile, you can make a donation through The PRASAD Project. The SYDA Foundation Global Operations Department is in communication with Siddha Yogis from Chile and has confirmed that they are all safe and unharmed.

The earthquake triggered a tsunami across the Pacific Ocean that was anticipated in Hawaii, Mexico, New Zealand, Japan, and other countries. Over a half million people evacuated their homes, but no significant damage occurred. In Hawaii and Japan, many evacuees have now returned home.

Thank you to all of you who continue to offer your support through donations, by reaching out to those in need, and offering prayers and blessings for everyone affected by these events.

With best regards,
SYDA Foundation Management
