Siddha Yoga students from different walks of life are articulating their understanding of Baba Muktananda’s and Gurumayi Chidvilasananda’s Siddha Yoga Vision and Mission in their own words. Their articulation comes from their own experience of putting the teachings of Siddha Yoga into practice and from the effort they make to engage with and contemplate the Siddha Yoga practices, such as meditation, chanting, seva, and dakshina.
This form of articulation allows the student to gain a deeper understanding of the Vision and Mission of Siddha Yoga. As a starting point for your own process of articulation, you can ask yourself,
"In very practical ways how does the Vision
and Mission of Siddha Yoga manifest in my life?
What do I give and what do I receive?"
You can send your articulation of the Vision and Mission of Siddha Yoga to VisionandMission@syda.org

The Vision and Mission of Siddha Yoga in the words of Stephanie Marrack, a Siddha Yoga student from Hawaii:
The Vision:"The vision of Siddha Yoga is to experience God.
God dwells within you as you."
The Mission:
Go for it!
Go for what?
Make the commitment to know the Self;
The love and grace of the Guru surrounds us;
The Kundalini Shakti inspires us;
Focus on God within you;
Meditate, Study and give with a happy heart;
Let us walk the adventurous path of the Siddhas to know our own greatness;
Let us do it together;
It's much more fun as a team.

The Vision and Mission of Siddha Yoga in the words of 13-year old Gautum Maxwell, a Siddha Yoga student from Canton, Massachusetts in the USA :
The Vision: "A community or sangham who incorporates the sublime teachings of the Guru, to guide and assist them in their life, and on their path to self-realization."
The Mission:
"To help those in need of answers find the truth within."
Gautum Maxwell's favorite Siddha Yoga practice is meditation, "because during meditation you can gather your energy," he says. Gautum also likes to play football and write short stories and poems. |

The Vision and Mission of Siddha Yoga in the words of Carlos del Cueto, a Siddha Yoga student from Mexico:
The Vision: "The vision of Siddha Yoga is a world where the knowledge of the supreme Self is accessible to all people, and where every person lives in the awareness and experience of the presence of God. In this way, all living beings exist in harmony with themselves, with each other, and with the world around them."
The Mission:
"The mission of Siddha Yoga is to contribute to the upliftment of humanity by imparting the knowledge of the Self. Essential to this knowledge is the awakening and unfolding of the Kundalini Shakti that takes place through the Guru's grace. Equally essential is the students' self-effort applied to the continuous learning and practice of the Siddha Yoga teachings. Through this process of self-knowledge, the students integrate this knowledge into every area of their lives, having a tangible effect on their relationship with themselves and with those around them."
Carlos
del Cueto started practicing Siddha Yoga in
1996. He is a talented musician, and is currently furthering
his study of music in the United Kingdom. Carlos spent
summer 2004 at Shree Muktananda Ashram offering seva
in the music department.
Carlos describes his favorite
Siddha Yoga practice as meditation: "In meditation I experience myself at a deep level, an experience that is accompanied by great peace," he says. "This peace feels more real than anything else I have ever
experienced."
