Recently, I was offered a certain seva at the Siddha Yoga Meditation Center in the city where I live. At the time, I felt as though I didn’t want to take on the responsibility.

Then, this morning, as I meditated with the dharana of Baba’s teaching, I had a vision of a fire in the center of a huge room with many people moving in concentric circles around it. At first, I noticed my closest family and friends; then I saw people from my city, then my nation. Finally, I experienced that all of humanity was singing and dancing around this fire. It was like a universal dancing saptah.

An incredible feeling of love arose within me, which then radiated into every dancer’s heart. After this meditation, I realized that the seva I had been offered had come from this central flame around which so many people had connected. For me, that flame represents my beloved Guru. I now understand that this seva is a great gift, which I will accept with infinite gratitude.

How I love these dharanas with Baba’s teachings. I start my morning with them. Today’s dharana is so heart-opening! I feel my love spreading all around me! It is like a shiny light that shines all over the world, connecting all other hearts. How wonderful and how important! I want to practice this dharana again. To me, it brings love and peace to the world.

While riding on a local train, I practiced this dharana; I was completely engaged and centered. After hearing Baba’s teaching, my heart filled with love and compassion toward everyone around me. I was very surprised to feel this unique awareness and love. As I got off the train, tears of happiness came to my eyes. I am grateful to Baba for this teaching, which filled me with his grace and blessings. His teachings are chaitanya.
