About a week ago, I recited
Shri Guru Gita,
focusing on the breath marks. Reciting with this awareness, I felt oneness with the Guru. As my recitation of
Shri Guru Gita
concluded, I glided into meditation. There I saw myself in front of Shri Guru's
, offering a very special red rose with love and gratitude. I felt connected with the Guru through the love and joy that were overflowing from my heart.
Later I visited the Siddha Yoga path website to see that day's virtue—which was Love! Instantly I recalled my morning experience. I was so grateful that I had just had such a beautiful experience of this virtue.
I thank Gurumayi ji for giving me the experience of the bond of love between the Guru and disciple.
When working in my vegetable garden, I watch how love blossoms into lettuce, spinach, and raspberries. When listening to music, I perceive the love a musician feels for the expressive potential of an instrument blossoming into gorgeous melodies and rhythms. In my family, I experience love as compassion, understanding, patience, giving, and healing. In my life, it is the love for
, the practices, and the Guru that sustains me.
Thank you, Gurumayi, for showing me this sacred love.

It has been my practice this month to visit the Siddha Yoga path website every morning to see the day’s virtue bestowed upon us by our beloved Gurumayi. And I have been sharing and contemplating the virtues with my sisters.
Today was challenging. I didn’t feel well, and I didn’t know what I’d be able to share with my sisters about love. Then I remembered Gurumayi’s teaching from
My Lord Loves a Pure Heart:
“In the beginning, love. In the end, love. In the middle, we have to cultivate virtues.” I found the book and read more of what Gurumayi says about love. As I read Gurumayi’s words, I found myself becoming soft and tender with love. I found my tender heart longing for my beloved Gurumayi. I saw myself holding the beautiful feet of my Guru in my heart. Tears rolled down my cheeks.
Thank you, Gurumayi. May we all be drenched in your love and remain at your feet in love.
