Alexander Dinesh Alford was introduced to the Siddha Yoga path in 1982 after receiving shaktipat from Baba Muktananda in a dream. Shortly thereafter, Alexander began attending weekly satsangs at the Siddha Yoga Meditation Center in Chicago. Between 1984 and 1995 Alexander offered seva on the steering committees of the Siddha Yoga meditation centers in South Carolina, Germany, and North Carolina. Alexander also offered seva for many years as a drummer. He presently offers seva in the Board of Trustees Office supporting various projects.

Alexander received a BS in mechanical engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology and a MBA in organizational leadership from Purdue University. He is currently the president and CEO of a manufacturing company in Kansas City, Missouri, where he lives with his wife and two children.
