Bhavani Korula was introduced to the Siddha Yoga path in 1985 by her parents when they took Bhavani at the age of two to Gurudev Siddha Peeth to receive Gurumayi Chidvilasananda’s darshan. She lived with her family in Gurudev Siddha Peeth and Shree Muktananda Ashram until she was fourteen. From 1998 to 2006, Bhavani offered seva every summer in Shree Muktananda Ashram.

Bhavani graduated summa cum laude from the University of Florida with a bachelor of science in public relations. She worked professionally as a fundraiser for a social services organization. Since 2007, Bhavani has served as a staff member in the SYDA Foundation.
