Bhavani Korula was introduced to the Siddha Yoga path in 1985 by her parents when they brought Bhavani, their first child, to Gurudev Siddha Peeth to receive Gurumayi’s darshan, at the age of two. Bhavani began serving Gurumayi as a darshan assistant at the age of three. She lived with her family in Gurudev Siddha Peeth and Shree Muktananda Ashram until she was fourteen. From 1998 to 2006, Bhavani visited Shree Muktananda Ashram every summer to offer seva. Since 2007, she has been serving as a staff member in the SYDA Foundation. Bhavani is currently the head of the Content Department.

Bhavani graduated summa cum laude from the University of Florida with a bachelor of science in public relations. She worked professionally as a fundraiser for a social services organization in the US.
