Deborah Abel is a modern dancer, choreographer, and the founder of a dance company and school of modern dance. Since 1987 she has toured the United States and India with her dance company. In 2010, she received the Massachusetts Cultural Council Artist Fellowship for her choreography. She teaches modern dance and street funk.

Deborah began following the Siddha Yoga path in 1986. She has a bachelor of arts in dance from Connecticut College and a certificate of dance from the Laban School in London. She lives in Carlisle, Massachusetts, with her husband and son.
