Gauri Maurer was four months old when her parents brought her to Shree Muktananda Ashram and she received Gurumayi Chidvilasananda’s darshan. As a child and teenager, Gauri participated in satsangs at Shree Muktananda Ashram and at the Siddha Yoga Ashram and the Siddha Yoga Meditation Center in Boston, Massachusetts. Beginning in 2014, she served as a staff member in the SYDA Foundation for eleven years, offering her skills in leadership, public speaking, writing, and music.

Gauri holds a bachelor’s degree from Colorado College in Colorado Springs. She lives in South Fallsburg, New York, with her husband, Shashanka.
