Geeta Sharma was introduced to the Siddha Yoga path by her parents at the age of seven. She began practicing the Siddha Yoga teachings in 1986 at her local Siddha Yoga meditation center in Latur, Maharashtra, India. An accomplished singer and teacher of Indian classical music, Geeta has offered seva as a Siddha Yoga musician in Gurudev Siddha Peeth. Geeta continues to offer seva in the SYDA Foundation in Shakti Punja, the Siddha Yoga archives.

Geeta holds three master’s degrees from Maharashtrian schools: in law from Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University in Aurangabad; in public administration from Rashtrasant Tukdoji Maharaj Nagpur University in Nagpur, and in music from Swami Ramanand Teerth Marathwada University in Nanded. She also received a doctorate in women’s empowerment from SRTMU in Nanded. Geeta is an assistant professor of music and public administration. She resides in Latur with her husband, Sushant, and their two daughters.
