Laura Dickinson

Laura Dickinson began practicing the Siddha Yoga teachings in 1989, after her mother invited her to participate in a satsang with Gurumayi Chidvilasananda at the Siddha Yoga Ashram in Oakland, California. Laura began offering seva in the SYDA Foundation in 1991, serving as a staff member at Shree Muktananda Ashram in 1992 and 1993. She has contributed her skills as a researcher and has served as a speaker in many Siddha Yoga teaching and learning events. Currently, Laura offers seva as a writer and editor.

Laura earned a bachelor’s degree in social studies from Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and a law degree from Yale University Law School in New Haven, Connecticut. She is a professor of law at The George Washington University School of Law in Washington, DC. Laura lives in Chevy Chase, Maryland, with her husband, Paul Berman, and their son.
