About Makario Sarsozo

Makario Sarsozo was introduced to the Siddha Yoga path as a young child when he and his mother visited the Siddha Yoga Ashram in Oakland, California. From 1988 to 1996, he served on staff in Shree Muktananda Ashram in New York and was a Gurukula student in Gurudev Siddha Peeth in India. Currently, Makario offers seva in the SYDA Foundation as a writer and editor.
Makario is an environmental researcher with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration. He holds a BA from Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, New York, and is pursuing a graduate degree in environmental sciences and policy from Johns Hopkins University in Washington, DC. Makario lives in Washington with his husband, Kirk McDonald.
