About Makario Sarsozo

Makario Sarsozo was introduced to the Siddha Yoga path as a young child by his mother, when they visited the Siddha Yoga Ashram in Oakland, California. From 1993 to 1996, he served on staff in Shree Muktananda Ashram in New York and was a Gurukula student in Gurudev Siddha Peeth in India. Currently, Makario works as a science communicator for a climate nonprofit organization in Washington, DC. He offers seva in the SYDA Foundation as a writer and editor.

Makario holds a bachelor’s degree from Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, New York; a master’s degree in environmental sciences and policy from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland; and a certificate in Clean and Equitable Energy Development from Yale University.
