Omkari Morgan Lindsey was born in Mumbai, India, in 1984, when her parents were offering seva at Gurudev Siddha Peeth. Omkari’s first memories of a Siddha Yoga teaching and learning event was when, as an eleven-year-old, she participated in one week of the Siddha Yoga Monthlong Course in Shree Muktananda Ashram.

In her teens, Omkari began offering music seva in Shree Muktananda Ashram, Gurudev Siddha Peeth, and the Siddha Yoga Center in Manhattan. She continues to serve in the SYDA Foundation as a visiting sevite in Shree Muktananda Ashram.

Omkari received a bachelor’s degree in child development from Mills College in Oakland, California, and currently works as the site director at the Google Children’s Center in Mountain View, California. She lives in nearby Hayward with her husband, Eric.
