About Teresa Rubio
Teresa Rubio (1960–2020) began practicing the Siddha Yoga teachings in Mexico City in 1984. After that, during most years she would spend at least a month and sometimes six months offering seva in Shree Muktananda Ashram or Gurudev Siddha Peeth.
Teresa also served in Siddha Yoga Dham de MĂ©xico, where she offered seva in many oversight capacities, including as a member of the Management Committee, the Steering Committee, and the National Teachings Committee. She became a Siddha Yoga meditation teacher in 1996, a role she served in for the rest of her life. In 1996 and 1997, Teresa was the tour manager for Gurumayi Chidvilasananda’s Teachings Visits to Mexico City.
Teresa earned a BA in business administration from La Salle University in Mexico City. She was a professional artist; her abstract impressionist paintings can be seen in galleries and museums in Mexico and Europe. She lived in Mexico City with her husband, José.
