SIDDHA YOGA® Shaktipat Intensive® 2019

An Invitation from Swami Akhandananda

September 3, 2019

Dear Siddha Yogis and new seekers,

The Shaktipat Intensive in Honor of Baba Muktananda’s Mahasamadhi is going to be held soon, and I am delighted to invite you to begin preparing for it! This year, the Siddha Yoga Shaktipat Intensive will be first held in participating locations around the world on Saturday, October 19, or Sunday, October 20. Given by Gurumayi, the title and theme is

The Power of the Mind—Matrika Shakti

Throughout this year, we have been exploring the mind in our study of Gurumayi’s Message for 2019. In her Message, Gurumayi teaches us that the true nature of the mind is its own light.

In this Shaktipat Intensive, you will have the opportunity to learn more about the astonishing power of the mind by delving into the teachings of Shaivism on Matrika Shakti—the divine power that works in the mind through letters and the words these letters form. You will gain a perspective on the mind that can empower you to live according to your highest aspirations.

In the Shaktipat Intensive, a seeker’s inner energy, known as Kundalini Shakti, is awakened with the divine intention and grace of Gurumayi Chidvilasananda, the Siddha Yoga Guru. Through this transformative event, you are able to experience the boundless joy and peace underlying the mind. Whether this is your first or fiftieth Shaktipat Intensive, participating in this sacred event can anchor you more deeply in the experience of your true nature, the Self, and in your awareness of how the Self manifests as your own mind.

A great approach to preparing for this Shaktipat Intensive is to strengthen your understanding of the mind by studying the teachings of the Siddha Yoga Gurus on this topic. I especially recommend reading, or re-reading, Baba’s book Mystery of the Mind which is available in the Siddha Yoga Bookstore. You can also continue to explore Gurumayi's teachings for 2019, including participating in Sweet Surprise 2019. As well, on the Siddha Yoga path website you can find teachings and additional details about this Shaktipat Intensive.

Information about participating locations—Siddha Yoga Ashrams, meditation centers, and some chanting and meditation groups—is available here.

Give yourself the inestimable gift of preparing for—and then participating in!—the Siddha Yoga Shaktipat Intensive in Honor of Baba Muktananda’s Mahasamadhi, The Power of the Mind—Matrika Shakti. I look forward to joining you and everyone else in the Siddha Yoga sangham for this profound and transformative event.

My warmest regards,

Swami Akhandananda
