on Christmas Day

Every single word spoken by Gurumayi, even the seemingly most casual one, can become a powerful mantra for me.

Now, when I start meditating, I can remember her words from the Christmas Day webcast, her beautiful voice, and visualize her beautiful smile. I can feel her presence pulsating inside me.

Even when I'm walking down the street or performing any task at home, I can reconnect with her presence inside me just by remembering her words. Such a blessing!

Following my profound experience in the Pilgrimage to the Heart Retreat at Gurudev Siddha Peeth in December, Gurumayi’s presence in the Universal Hall on Christmas Day, her darshan, was “la cerise sur le gateau,” as we say in French: the cherry on the cake! What prasad!

As I listened to the shares and to Gurumayi’s words in this last satsang of 2018, I felt God’s love overwhelm my heart!

My gratitude to our beloved Guru, always!

My husband and I watched the satsang live on Christmas morning, and our holiday was transformed into the best Christmas we ever had in our lives! What an amazing gift of love from the Guru: beautiful chanting, extraordinary experience shares told from the heart and received in our hearts, and the crème de la crème was all the subtle and powerful teachings from Gurumayi.

We’re still bubbling over with delight and wonder at our good fortune. In fact, we just participated in the satsang again via webcast and plan to do so tomorrow morning as well. For us, it’s the perfect preparation for Sweet Surprise 2019!

My Christmas wish came true! My mom and I were able to be together with Gurumayi in the Siddha Yoga Universal Hall on Christmas Day—just three days before we celebrated my mom’s 99th birthday!

Thank you, Gurumayi, for this incredible blessing.

The namasankirtana during the satsang was so sweet and sublime. As I was chanting, my eyes were filled with tears of gratitude and love. I had the conviction that this was an experience of God's love for me and my love for God.

I also recognized that this is indeed what Christmas means to me—to come together in satsang and share wisdom and divine love with one another.

As we chanted Rama Raghava, my consciousness turned within. I asked myself, "Who am I?" Then a soft sense of freedom came upon me, accompanied by a gentle experience of being That, as my consciousness expanded towards my true eternal nature.

Then I asked myself, "But who is the one who is meditating on 'I am That'?" And I became inwardly silent and serene.

What a gift to bask in the love and light of the Guru’s presence via webcast—and even at a convenient time for us on the other side of the world in sunny, summertime Australia! Chanting Rama Raghava felt like joining a royal procession of divine beings. I felt connected to an assembly of great and noble sadhakas, and I reveled in being with Gurumayi, the radiant sun to whom I turn for boundless inspiration.

I was also moved by the host’s thanks to the Siddha Yoga meditation centers and chanting and meditation groups around the world. Here, Gurumayi’s presence makes itself known palpably during each day that we set up for satsang and remains with us throughout.

I felt the Guru’s presence and deep love during this mystical satsang. I sensed profoundly the intense vibrations, from heart to heart, right here in my house and in my whole being. The chant was soft and filled me with grace. The moments of silence were the most precious moments of meditation I experienced this year.

Oh, what a great honor it was to have Gurumayi’s darshan on Christmas Day in the Universal Hall! My heart filled with love when Gurumayi appeared on the screen. Heartbeat by heartbeat, I felt myself connecting with one infinite, vibrating heart.

Since my childhood, I’ve been waiting for a gift from Santa on Christmas. And then, yes, on the night of December 25, I received a gift from Gurumayi that I will never forget.

The satsang brought me a deep feeling of love, and as I went to sleep, I continued chanting Rama Raghava with Gurumayi. When I sat in meditation the next morning, the same deep feelings of love for everyone started arising from my heart, and I sat in meditation for a long time. I could feel that my Guru is nurturing me, protecting me. I am so happy to experience the presence of the Guru, and the sense of freedom this brings.

I am so grateful to Gurumayi for the Christmas Day satsang. It was wonderful to be able to participate in the Universal Hall during daytime here in Australia, with my two dogs sleeping peacefully near me. I loved hearing people’s experiences of God. I loved experiencing the unchanging stillness of my Guru!

I’m so grateful for this amazing Christmas present! Our Guru is so generous in knowing, and then giving us, just what we need. I keep going back to what I recall of Gurumayi’s words and, to thinking about how her words apply to my life. I realize more and more what a blessing this is for me.  I feel a new enthusiasm brimming in me!

The experiences shared in the satsang were, to me, simple and great at the same time—each one a pearl! Gurumayi’s presence lit up my heart and my home. During the chant, I felt warmth and tingling throughout my body. I felt a loving peace, the kind you feel only in God's presence.

I am so grateful to Gurumayi ji for this lovely, memorable prasad. For me, it was an intimate session of disciples with their Master. Tears rolled down my cheeks, refreshed me, and connected me to the present moment. I experienced being “In God's Love.” All pain of separation melted away as I saw Gurumayi and listened to her powerful words filled with love and compassion.

At the beginning of the chant—with the sound of the violin caressing the air and the love so abundantly present in the Christmas Day satsang entering my being—tears came to my eyes. As the chant continued, I felt I was melting in the sun of love. I became more and more ecstatic, and my hands could not help but rise into the air and move with the rhythm of the melody. My heart was dancing, and my mind stood still in wonder.

There is nothing in the world like chanting with Gurumayi! I am so grateful that Gurumayi is with us on this planet and sharing her love with us so completely.

We had such a funny experience during the Christmas Day satsang live stream. While Gurumayi was talking with eight-year-old Kiran about the rays of sunshine and rays of light he saw at Shree Muktananda Ashram, here in California—where the rays of the sun usually bless us so much—the rain was pouring down in torrents! So the Guru’s grace showered us here—where we’ve been having a drought—in just the form we need! I was laughing and laughing!

A profound sense of gratitude is bubbling in my heart for so much love, so much compassion, so much grace.
