SYDA Foundation Board of Trustees
Jacob is president and co-founder of MBF Bioscience, a high-tech pioneer in the development and design of imaging software for neuroscience research.
Jacob grew the company from a desk in his bedroom to the successful international enterprise it is today, whose cutting-edge applications are used by leading medical researchers worldwide.
Before joining the SYDA Foundation Board of Trustees, Jacob served as a consultant to the Board in communication systems, management development, and strategic planning. He also served the SYDA Foundation as finance coordinator for the United States Northeast area. From 1986 to 2008, Jacob and his wife, Caitlin, hosted a Siddha Yoga chanting and meditation group in their Vermont home.
In 2007, Jacob was named Vermont Small Business Person of the Year. In May 2013, he was invited to the White House to receive a Tibbetts Award on MBF’s behalf. This prestigious national honor recognizes American companies and individuals that are beacons of promise and models of excellence in high technology.
Jacob has a BS degree in mathematics from the University of Vermont.
He lives in northern Vermont.
