Gurumayi Chidvilasananda’s Intention
for the Siddha Yoga Chanting Tour: Australia 2014
Satyam Shivam Sundaram

May the utterance of each syllable of the mantras of Siddha Yoga music energize every sevite to give their best to the Chanting Tour.

May all the sevites and participants be protected as they give their best to the practice of chanting.

May their friends and families give them full support and share their goodwill so that sevites and participants experience complete
peace of mind as they devote themselves to the practice of chanting.

May the title Satyam Shivam Sundaram reveal its essence to all those who participate in the Chanting Tour.

May every teaching of Siddha Yoga uplift and transform the lives of those who are immersed in the Chanting Tour.

May the light of the Chanting Tour stream into the hearts of new seekers and give them a full taste of the nectar of Siddha Yoga chanting.

May each raga, melody, and note lead each person to hear the song emblazoned on their soul.

May the joyous streams of sounds in the Chanting Tour bring everyone to their feet, dancing in celebration of God’s love arising in their hearts.

May the power of the Chanting Tour bring about goodwill and peace among all people, all societies, all nations, all regions, all cultures, and all religions.

May every hymn, bhajan, abhanga, namasankirtana, and arati that is recited, sung, and chanted suffuse the earth with pure vibrations, that she may replenish her being and provide abundantly for all animate beings and inanimate objects.

Through the nectar of chanting, may the fields and forests be blessed, may the oceans and rivers be blessed, may the skies and stars be blessed, may every day and every night be blessed, and may every particle of breath be enlivened with divine song.

May the effects of the Chanting Tour inspire young and old alike to make music their cause; may they find a multitude of ways to turn this world into a better paradise through music.

May the fruits of the Chanting Tour be that each person recognizes that the path to liberation is alight with the Guru’s grace.

On March 16, I recited Shri Guru Gita at home with the global sangham. Afterward, I had the very clear insight that it is sound that brings this physical world into manifestation, and that it is the power of sound at the cellular level that brings about transformation and change in living beings.

I envisaged the power of sound literally bringing new particles into manifestation in my cells and dissolving old particles, just as the ancient primordial power has been doing for eons on a grand scale.

I had not realized that it is the elemental and divine nature of sound to affect us all. I did not know that at the most essential level I am sound. My cells recognize this and are in tune with this. Chanting sacred sounds, such as the syllables of Shri Guru Gita, changes and uplifts my entire being, environment, and world.

My faith in and understanding of Siddha Yoga chanting is expanding and deepening every day!

On Sunday, March 16, during the very powerful full moon, I recited Shri Guru Gita all throughout the day, and I definitely experienced Gurumayi’s Intention and felt her blessings.

At the end of each recitation, I focused on a large color photo of Uluru, the ancient sacred mountain in Australia, and I sent my blessings to the Chanting Tour.

After rereading Gurumayi’s Intention for the Chanting Tour this morning, I was immediately and effortlessly plunged into a state of stillness of mind. This lasted for several minutes, until I realized I needed to get to work.

After lunchtime, I was driving back to the office, and I began to chant along to the CD of Narayana. A well of emotion sprang up from within, and I literally felt like I was going to cry. I continued chanting, ecstatic with the name of the Lord on my lips and the bliss of God’s love in my heart. And the Chanting Tour hasn't even formally begun!

If this is any indication of what the Chanting Tour is going to be like—and I'm not even in Australia—the entire sangham is indeed in for something amazing!

This morning I was awakened slowly by the word Guru being sung over and over to a beautiful melody I had never heard before. It seemed to me to be a song expressing pure joy, wonder, worship, and gratitude. As I listened, and became fully awake, I realized it was emanating from my own heart. All day long, whenever I did not have to speak or think while carrying out my duties, the song would reappear, and I would become absorbed in it once again. I know this is the fruit of the Chanting Tour. My heart is already dancing!  I can only imagine what the Chanting Tour will do for the whole world.

Thank you, Gurumayi. And thank you to all the sevites who are joining together to manifest Gurumayi’s sublime Intention.

Currently I am offering seva in the southern United States, facilitating satsangs in prisons. On Sunday, March 16, we asked one of the incarcerated students to prepare the puja before the program. He was so touched that, on completing this seva, he began to dance in ecstasy in the gym where we were located. He had tears in his eyes.

We informed the men that today we are sending the blessings of our chant to the Chanting Tour in Australia. The men gave it their all, and a palpable feeling of oneness with the Universal Hall could be felt.

As we meditated, I glanced over at the guard who was on duty. His eyes were closed, his head was lowered, and he was completely lost in meditation. The Guru's shakti knows no boundaries.

The incarcerated students in Texas and Louisiana are chanting for and with you, Australia.

My primary practice has been, and continues to be, daily meditation. But now when I sit to meditate, my mind begins a chant. When I am washing dishes, a chant arises. While cooking, I can't keep myself from chanting. Being in the car—more chanting. Chanting pops up in my mind all the time, replacing all thought! I am truly singing the Name.

When I get into bed to sleep, a chant becomes my lullaby. When I awake, it begins again. Chanting has blanketed my living moments with beauty, with love, with gratitude, with tears of joy. It is so powerful! I feel certain this spontaneous focus on chanting is aligned with Gurumayi's sankalpa and the Chanting Tour in Australia.

Thank you, Gurumayi, for your intention for the Siddha Yoga Chanting Tour, and for this divine experience of the Name unfolding within me so continuously.

I offer home seva from Argentina in support of the Chanting Tour. When I read Gurumayi's Intention for the Recitation of Shri Guru Gita, I felt that each syllable was a blessing, pouring out its benediction upon me.

I felt so much gratitude for my family and friends who support me in so many different ways, so that I can have the time, focus, and peace of mind I need for seva.

I envisioned all the sevites, with whom I have daily contact through email, and telephone, vibrating with respect, love, and enthusiasm—and much laughter too.

Offering seva for the Chanting Tour has transformed my life. My soul is already pulsating to the music of Satyam Shivam Sundaram, and I perceive the world around me as a perfect symphony with all its beautiful variations.

Thank you, Gurumayi, for lighting my path with the melody of your grace.

Early on Sunday morning, I stepped out of my front door on my way to the Siddha Yoga Ashram in Sydney to recite Shri Guru Gita in honor of the Chanting Tour. I was greeted by the most beautiful golden sunrise. Later that morning, as I headed home after a few hours of seva, a wild storm erupted. The skies opened and the rain came down. It was magnificent.

The next morning, as I walked down to the beach, I reflected on all the love and all the blessings that were coming to us here in Australia from all around the world. I felt humbled and moved by how the global sangham was turning its attention to Australia. There was a huge swell rolling onto the shore. It was majestic, full, mesmerizing. As I watched, I felt that these were the waves of love coming our way, unstoppable, with a might far greater than I could fathom.

I felt the magnificence of the Guru and the power of the Guru's Intention.

In these days the words Satyam Shivam Sundaram keep coming to me like a mantra. I repeat them, I chant them, I feel them full of power, bringing me the energy of a new life. It's so beautiful!

I can only imagine what this Chanting Tour will be like. Blessings to the Chanting Tour.

All my love and immense gratitude to Gurumayi.

On the day Gurumayi's Intention was posted, it rained here in Singapore for the first time, breaking the dry spell we’ve had since mid-January. All day I could feel the pure vibrations from Gurumayi's Intention and her blessings.

Thank you for being so close to us, Gurumayi, for connecting us to each other and to all—our friends and family all over the world, nature, and this beautiful Earth we live on.

May the joy of chanting continue to fill our hearts with gratitude and love.

Gurumayi’s Intention is exquisitely beautiful and powerful, encompassing everyone and everything in its blessings.

Nature’s splendor was breathtaking as I looked at the photographs from Shree Muktananda Ashram on this auspicious day. What joy and beauty celebrating Gurumayi’s Intention! The deep blue of the sky with the full moon, golden sunrise, and the column of light blazing forth—all mirroring the beauty in Bade Baba’s temple with the deep blue and orange colors to match nature’s spectacle outdoors.

This morning, as a new day begins, I am preparing to meditate. After taking in what’s been shared on the website, I am suffused with a soft orange scintillating glow. Gurumayi’s Intention has taken up residence within my being. I will repeat it each day and hold it in my heart as the Chanting Tour unfolds.

What a sweet, powerful, and joyful day it was! I had the great good fortune to read Gurumayi's Intention before Shri Guru Gita recitation at the Siddha Yoga Meditation Center in Toronto. As I was reading, I could literally visualize every jewel of her Intention: I could see participants dance, friends and family supporting the Chanting Tour sevites, and nature being nourished by the pure vibration of chanting. I was completely transported into the Chanting Tour!

When I sat down to recite the text, I thought, "How am I going to remember all of those beautiful gems while I chant?" During my recitation, Gurumayi's Intention became alive for me. I had not realized how deeply Gurumayi's words had installed themselves within me. More than the words, the images her Intention inspired in me came up so naturally as I was chanting. It was happening on its own, like waves of energy arising from within. I felt so much joy. I was smiling the whole time.

Thank you, Gurumayi, for the precious gift that is your Intention. Thank you for inviting us to join you and embrace your words for the success for the Chanting Tour in Australia.

Last night while I was chanting the opening mantras to Shri Guru Gita, the phone rang. I could hear my daughter say, "Mum, you must go on the website. Gurumayi's Intention is there."

What a sweet chant I experienced after reading Gurumayi’s words! My heart opened, and afterward I felt like dancing for joy.

Thank you, Gurumayi, for inviting us to support the Chanting Tour. May your intention be fully manifested in all its golden glory.

Recently, I have once again taken up the guitar. I have tried this a few times over the last decade and have never kept it up. This time it feels very different. I have been inspired, motivated, and enthusiastic to play. And I’ve also been very methodical. I believe I will be able to play well over time. I don't have the doubts and resistance I had in the past.

When I read Gurumayi’s Intention, I saw that includes that the effects of the Chanting Tour will “inspire young and old to make music their cause.” Gurumayi’s words confirmed to me what I had thought—that the power of grace within this Chanting Tour is enlivening me, enabling me to do something I have wanted to do for so long.

Thank you, Gurumayi. This tour is already so full of your love and grace. What will it be like when it begins?

This morning, before the recitation of Shri Guru Gita here at the Siddha Yoga Meditation Center in Los Angeles, Gurumayi's Intention was read aloud in the Temple in the presence of Bade Baba's majestic murti.

There was a palpable and powerful unity in the room, as we all joined our hearts and voices with the myriad other devotees around the world, offering blessings for the Chanting Tour.

When I heard the words of Gurumayi’s Intention, I received them as an exquisite gift and was deeply moved by them, and by Gurumayi’s reminder of the power within our chanting to uplift the world.

As I was reading Gurumayi's Intention for the Recitation of Shri Guru Gita this morning, one of the sentences that struck me was this: "May the joyous streams of sounds in the Chanting Tour bring everyone to their feet, dancing in celebration of God's love arising in their hearts."

In that moment, I gained a completely new understanding of the phrase God's love in our hearts. It became real for me!

While I was reciting Shri Guru Gita with this divine intention in my mind, I could feel the love and joy arising in my own heart. I also felt that my recitation was strengthening my ability to give of myself unconditionally, and I could feel the sense of connection that arose as a result.

Gurumayi, thank you for all that which is beyond my words. I love you!

When I woke up this morning, I was looking forward to reciting Shri Guru Gita on this auspicious day of the full moon. I was contemplating my intention. I prepared my meditation room, lit the candles, and then opened the Siddha Yoga path website to reread Gurumayi's teachings about chanting, so that they would be fresh in my heart as I offered my recitation.

When I read Gurumayi's Intention, I was so moved by it that I decided to read it aloud before I chanted. When I did this, the shakti within these powerful words was made manifest. Every word has such power, such respect, such compassion! I felt the words and their meaning resonate within me and within the space around me.

The whole time I was reciting Shri Guru Gita, I felt so connected to all the sevites and Siddha Yoga students and newcomers throughout this beautiful planet of ours who are sending their blessings to the Chanting Tour .

May every heart sing with the joy of chanting!

Gurumayi's beautiful intention was read this morning in the Siddha Yoga Ashram in Manhattan, right before we joined the global sangham in offering our recitation of Shri Guru Gita to the Chanting Tour. As I held the intention in my heart, my whole being felt poised to engage with this most sacred text from a new place of reverence, and with a new sense of discovery, joy, and openness!

Thank you, Gurumayi, for giving us the means to offer our blessings to the Chanting Tour, and for making it possible for all of us to support the Chanting Tour by chanting right where we are, no matter where we are, with all our hearts.

I am so deeply touched by Gurumayi's blessings.

They reminded me of an experience I had a few years ago when I was in Gurudev Siddha Peeth. As I was sitting in the Nityananda Mandir in meditation after the evening Arati, I clearly saw that Bade Baba was constantly giving blessings to the world. I realized that this is how the great beings are—their whole life is to give blessings so that we may awaken to the supreme Truth that exists within.

Thank you, Gurumayi, for your blessings for the Chanting Tour. I too offered my blessings this morning by reciting Shri Guru Gita in honor of the Chanting Tour: Australia 2014. May it be a great event !

Yesterday, I was filled with so much joy in anticipation of today's recitation of Shri Guru Gita by the global Siddha Yoga sangham. I chanted throughout the day with all my heart.

I awoke this morning with a deep yearning, as I remembered the dream I had. I was in Baba's presence, reading a newspaper, and on one page was a beautiful prayer. To bring my attention to it, Baba had even highlighted it. However, I couldn't read the words because the print was very small.

Then, when I read Gurumayi's Intention for the Recitation of Shri Guru Gita this morning, I told myself, "Yes, this is the prayer! "Gratitude filled my heart, since I now could read it, cherish each word, and recite it.

Baba gave me Shri Guru Gita to recite. Now I feel Gurumayi has given me this divine prayer to encourage me to continue chanting with all my heart all the days of my life.

Thank you, thank you, my beloved Gurumayi!

As I’m the only member of my family who practices Siddha Yoga, it takes a great deal of perseverance and determination to incorporate my practices into daily life. Thus, this morning I was surprised and immensely grateful to read Gurumayi’s intention that "all sevites and participants be protected" and that "their friends and families give them full support…as they devote themselves to the practice of chanting."

I know deep within that this is all I want from life. With this, everything else in life will fall into place.

Thank you, Gurumayi, and thanks to all who are participating in and making the Chanting Tour possible.

Yes! I jumped out of my seat reading Gurumayi's blessings for everyone involved in the Chanting Tour, especially the part about "dancing in celebration of God's love arising in their hearts." May the whole world dance and sing, keeping Gurumayi's golden intention in our hearts, minds, voices, and entire bodies!

Thank you, Gurumayi, for your generous intention, filled with truth, auspiciousness, and beauty.

Reading Gurumayi's Intention was very powerful! As I read it aloud to a friend of mine, I could feel it resonate in my entire being. It is still vibrating within me as I look forward to reciting Shri Guru Gita while holding the Intention in my full awareness.

Thank you, dear Gurumayi, for continuously giving to us in abundance. I am forever grateful to you.
