SYDA Foundation Board of Trustees
Michael, a certified public accountant, is a founding partner of Nigro Karlin Segal & Feldstein, a leading business-management firm representing some of the most respected and recognized names in the entertainment industry. The fifth largest such firm in Los Angeles, with a staff of 270 and an additional office in New York, it provides a broad range of financial and managerial services to its successful clientele.
Michael has served as a trustee of the SYDA Foundation since 1988. He also serves as treasurer of the Foundation.
Michael attended the University of Southern California where he received a BS degree in accounting in 1976 and a master's degree in taxation in 2010. After obtaining his undergraduate degree, Michael worked for five years in the tax department of the international accounting firm of Ernst & Whinney (now known as Ernst & Young).
Michael serves on the Board of Directors of the Motion Picture and Television Fund, a philanthropy founded in 1921 by Charlie Chaplin, Mary Pickford, Douglas Fairbanks, and D.W. Griffith, among others, to provide a safety net of programs and services for people working in the entertainment industry. He is also a member of the Board of Advisors at his alma mater, the USC Leventhal School of Accounting.
Michael resides in California with his wife, Rainbeau.
