How does the course work?
The Home Study Course
focuses on teachings central to spiritual practice on the Siddha Yoga path. Each subject consists of twelve lessons, one per month, sent by postal mail as a printed booklet and audio CD. You begin the Home Study Course
with the subject titled The Power of Siddha Yoga: Path of the Heart
. After your first year of the course, you can register in the other subjects in any order you choose.
Once I’ve completed the first subject, do I need to take the other subjects in any particular order?
Will the course be offered online or by e-mail, as well as in the current format?
No. The course is only offered via postal mail.
Is the course offered in an audio format?
Yes. Each booklet is accompanied by an audio CD of the lesson.

How to Study
What is the best way to study the course?
It is best to schedule regular times for study when you will not be interrupted. It is also helpful to record your insights and understandings in a journal. In addition, many students find it helpful to meet with a study-buddy or with a Home Study Course
study group. If this appeals to you, you are welcome to form a group with other students who are registered for the course.
Are there any Siddha Yoga Home Study Course study groups?
Yes, many Siddha Yoga students form study groups, and it is also fine to study by yourself.
Does everyone receive the same lesson at the same time?
Yes. Students around the world who are enrolled in the same subject receive the same lesson each month. If you register before the fifteenth of any given month (from January through June), the following month you will receive a packet with the lesson for the current month and all the previous lessons.
How much time should I expect to spend on the course?
The time commitment for each course is about 3 to 4 hours per month.
How do I find out the meaning of a Sanskrit word?

How do I register?
You may register online or by mail, fax or phone. Please see the Registration
page for details. Registration was open from November 1, 2011 through June 30, 2012.
The course starts in January. Can I register later in the year?
Yes. If you register by the fifteenth of any month from January through June, in the following month you will receive a packet with the lesson for the current month and all the previous lessons.
How much does the course cost?
The cost for each subject, consisting of 12 lessons, is US $250 for adults.
I am a young adult; do I receive a discount?
Young people age 24 and under are eligible to take the course at half price. Verification of age is required. Send the registration form with a copy of a birth certificate or driver’s license by e-mail, fax, or postal mail. Once the document is received, you will be registered at half price.
Can two people living in the same household get a discount?
Yes. Families who live in the same household pay the regular rate for the first subscription and half off for each additional family member. Each member receives his or her own study materials. Please register by phone
for household subscriptions.
Is shipping included in the subscription price?
Can I purchase a gift subscription?
Yes. Gift subscriptions are available by phone, fax, and postal mail.
Do I get a refund if I cancel my subscription?
Yes. You will receive a pro-rated refund, minus a $20 processing fee. If you cancel your subscription and later wish to re-register, you will have to wait until registration opens the following year.
What should I do if my lessons don't arrive?
Please contact the Home Study Course
office if your lessons have not arrived by the fifteenth of the month. The most efficient way to do this is by email: firstname.lastname@example.org
