March Nature Gallery II
March Nature Gallery III
March Nature Gallery IV

On the Siddha Yoga path, we acknowledge the presence of the Divine in all of creation—and this divinity is revealed in myriad forms in the natural world. The beauty and wonder we find in nature can inspire us, as seekers, to recognize the beauty within us and everywhere around us.

The Nature Gallery contains photographs taken in the wondrous environs of Shree Muktananda Ashram, where Gurumayi currently resides. The Ashram is located in upstate New York, surrounded by expansive forests and rolling hills, brimming with wildlife. Take your time as you view the gallery. Allow the images to transport you to the serene stillness of the Guru’s abode, and let nature’s splendor connect you to the splendor of your own great heart.

Absolutely breathtaking!  Through these photos I feel the cold, I experience natural beauty at its finest, and my heart is warmed to see the orange flag indicating the Guru is in residence. These pictures allow me to experience nature with gratitude, opening my mind, my heart, and my eyes to beauty.

Today I realized that my mother is in what a poet might call the “winter” of her life. And this gallery shows me how beautiful winter can be. I feel more open to recognizing the beauty in this change in the life of someone who has been so important to me.

    Kentucky, USA

I am so grateful for the Nature Gallery. The beautiful images of nature reliably and unfailingly turn my awareness within to stillness, wonder, newness, freshness, and silence. I am having satsang in the abode of the Guru.

Thank you, Gurumayi, for the vision, support, and love that you offer in myriad ways.

    Canberra, Australia

I enjoyed seeing each and every photograph. I was completely present in the moment. Here in India we don’t have the opportunity to appreciate snowy landscapes except in the Himalayas. The statue of Shiva Nataraj with ice on his feet made me think of the Lord of the Dance performing his cosmic dance on Mount Kailash, and I began chanting the Siddha Yoga chant "Shiva Shankara.”

    Dombivli, India

The serenity of the snowy landscape in March Nature Gallery III is palpable. As I watched the slideshow, I became gentle and quiet. Just then someone walked behind me, and I felt a breeze move across my neck as the person moved past me. It was something so tender and subtle, and normally I would not have noticed it. I realized then that the simple act of viewing the Nature Gallery had heightened my sensitivity to the world around me and helped me to be more awake and alive.

    Summer Hill, Australia

A voice inside me says— yes—as I view the animal footprints in the snow. The image evokes in me the simple yet profound reminder that grace pervades the world around me, and that animals beautifully manifest the quiet emanation of that grace.

    New York, USA

I sense the focus and serenity of the photographer behind the lens of each photo here. As I focus on each image, I too become serene.

Thank you, Gurumayi, for imparting your teachings via the beauty of nature.

My mother and I were at a store with a lot of customers. It was really loud, and I don’t like loud noises. The store had computers, so I decided to look at the Siddha Yoga path website and found the March Nature Gallery.

As I looked at the photos, I felt a kind of surge turning me inwards. It was like the noise didn’t bother me anymore.

I love seeing pictures from the Nature Gallery because it makes me feel connected to Shree Muktananda Ashram, and also because where I live we don’t have cardinals and red-colored squirrels and some of the other wildlife the Ashram has. So, it’s really cool to be able to visualize what it’s like there.

Looking at these beautiful photos reinforces something I’ve been noticing lately when I go out for a walk. When I have the presence of mind to pause and connect with my breath, I let go of my usual preoccupations and become truly present with nature and myself.

This is such a subtle, understated shift in my focus, and yet it brings me genuine peace and contentment.

The serene and silent beauty of these photographs evokes in me an equal quietness, a moment of suspension of my busy mind. I feel that I am sinking into my heart in resonance with these exquisite images.

Every time I visit the Nature Gallery and see the photos of the Ashram surroundings, I become aware of feelings of all-pervasive love and relish the profound awareness of Shri Guru within myself.

The Nature Gallery allows me to have satsang every day, wherever I am.

    Milan, Italy

I am deeply grateful for the Nature Gallery. I experience such peace and appreciation for nature while viewing it. The rich, vibrant colors and perspectives of the photographs spark feelings of creativity and joy. I look at nature around me with new eyes.
