Hearts in Nature III

On the Siddha Yoga path, images of hearts serve as reminders of the great Heart, the Self of all, which is always present—within us and within everyone and everything.

Siddha Yogis especially associate images of hearts with Gurumayi; they remind us of her love for us and our love for her.

A wonderful way you can bring to mind the Guru’s love and grace is by observing heart shapes in the lines and forms of the world around you—in the clouds, flowers, seed pods, tree branches, rocks, movement of water, and more.

After immersing yourself in the images in the Hearts in Nature galleries, notice the effect on your awareness of your own heart as you go about your day. And you may begin to find heart shapes all around you! You are invited to share your experiences here on the Siddha Yoga path website.

Viewing these images of hearts in nature is very centering. I feel a stillness and warmth knowing that God’s love and support is all around me as well as inside me.

What good fortune I have to receive Gurumayi’s grace in the form of these hearts this morning!

I was ill over the holidays, and yet I do not feel that I am lacking in holiday cheer! These hearts serve as a reminder to me that the Guru’s grace is everywhere, and in all circumstances, continually surrounding me, sheltering me, and showering me with abundant love and blessings.

A big smile came over my face when I saw the big golden heart made out of leaves. I feel that the intention is to send love and blessings to all those  who see it. I feel sweetness and playfulness. And for me, it is like this with each photo! They all convey this divine love and remind me of the Truth in the heart.

For many years, I have loved spotting hearts in nature. It feels as if the universe is reminding me that I am surrounded by love.

This morning, staying in a very ordinary little hotel room in London, I noticed a heart-shaped leaf on the ground outside. Immediately, I felt connected with my heart, and as I looked again, I noticed that all the leaves on the fence were heart-shaped too. At once, I was reminded of the beauty of nature even in drab surroundings, and I experienced Gurumayi’s love within me.

The blessings of this experience carried into the day. I especially noticed the loving care of the hotel staff. Later, at a crowded motorway service station, I again felt Gurumayi’s presence with me, and her love, even in the midst of so many people.

I am so touched that the sight of a simple leaf helped me to see with the eyes of the heart.

The lovely green-and-white plant leaves with their intricate design of double hearts stirred up great delight in my own heart. To me, they symbolize the union of Shri Guru’s heart with my own. We are one!

I am blessed to serve as a groundskeeper around the apartment building where I live. No matter what is going on in my life, being with the plants always brings me back to the Heart.

These wonderful images bring that experience to an even higher level. It is as though I am transported to Shree Muktananda Ashram. I feel I am connected to the shakti of the Ashram when I am caring for the plants and they are caring for me. This experience is pure bliss.
