Preparation

The following are ways to prepare for the Global Audio Satsang in Celebration of Baba Muktananda’s Birthday 2026.

Reflection

  • Reflect on your purpose for participating in this satsang.
  • Consider how you have benefited from studying Baba’s teachings.

Chanting and Mantra Japa

  • Each day, set aside time to chant the divine name and/or practice mantra japa, repetition of mantra.
  • Journal about your experiences and insights of doing these practices.

Meditation

  • Meditate each day.
  • At least once a week, meditate for an extended period of time.

Physical Exercise

  • Stretch, practice hatha yoga, take walks, or do any other physical exercise that is familiar to you and will support you in sitting comfortably throughout the satsang.

What to Bring

  • Items to support you in sitting comfortably (a meditation cushion, an asana, etc.)
  • A journal and a pen or pencil
  • A bottle of water

Assimilation

  • In advance, schedule time after the satsang for reflection and journaling. This will support you in further assimilating what you have experienced and learned.
