I loved Gurumayi’s talk. What stood out for me was when she spoke about the importance of our “inner stance” rather than the number of our age. This resonated for me because I am in my seventies and I was feeling old and sad about the condition of my body.

After hearing Gurumayi’s words, I remembered the first line of her Message for 2026, “Renew! Reset your mind.” Encouraged with the idea of focusing on my “inner stance,” I was able to “reset my mind” and see myself as a young spirit with years of wisdom.

What remains with me most vividly with regard to this beautiful satsang with Gurumayi is the notion of the rising sun. Gurumayi asked that we stand for the arati, and drew an analogy between the physical action of standing to offer the arati and the sun rising.

This helped me to remember what Makara Sankranti means to me, especially with the tradition of flying kites that is undertaken in parts of India on this day: to remember the vast sky within.

I am going to be seventy soon, and Gurumayi’s words on Makara Sankranti made me feel as though this talk was just for me! Her compassionate reminder that I am fully self-reliant has supported me to “renew” and “reset” my mind. Gurumayi reminded me that I must continue to “learn and grow” despite the changing times of Kali Yuga and my own aging body.

When Gurumayi emphasized that “Old is gold,” I instantly found my consciousness expanding and experienced my soul’s ancient, unassailable nature. I just have to steer clear of being caught up with the numbers as I continue to do my sadhana vigorously and to feel the light of God, my true nature, within.

For so many years of my life, I have been trying to get validation and fulfillment from my external world. I have known that this search has been futile, yet my subconscious mind was still searching. Recently I got validation from a source that I thought would bring me peace. Instead, I felt confused and insecure.

In the Makara Sankranti satsang with Gurumayi, she said that she has been encouraging us to stand on our own feet. I asked myself, “What does this mean?” Upon reflection, I finally realized that no matter where I search outside myself for fulfillment, it will end up dry. It is up to me to love myself. The love comes from within.

I see now how much Gurumayi is encouraging me to love myself. Then I will truly be able to experience what I’ve always longed for.

In this satsang, Shri Gurumayi transformed my inner attitude toward my sixty-six years of age, and I began a bold search for new employment. I was invited to a job interview with a team of people in their 50s and 60s who had wonderful energy! I loved the experience, and it crystallized for me Shri Gurumayi’s teaching: “Old is gold.”

In the Makara Sankranti satsang Gurumayi asked, “What have you been doing lately?” While reflecting on her question, I remembered a gift I had received from engaging with the first line of her Message. Initially, I saw that “resetting my mind” is about letting go of my state of mind as it relates to the media. Next, I saw that a deeper meaning was to align with my true identity, by remembering and experiencing my expansive nature.

As I was driving a week later, I noticed that I felt lighthearted, like a weight had been lifted. I was noticeably joyous for no apparent reason. The blue sky, the winter trees, the bare ground, the traffic—all was perfect! What a delightful gift!

The experiences that Siddha Yogis have shared on the Siddha Yoga path website about the connection between Sweet Surprise and the Makara Sankranti satsang powerfully illuminated my own experience. Having some time in between these two satsangs gave me some space and time to contemplate and absorb the enormous gift of Gurumayi’s darshan on January 1 before unexpectedly receiving her darshan again for Makara Sankranti.

While holding Gurumayi’s Message in my heart during the Makara Sankranti satsang, I experienced “the light of the sun” as a true deity and as a form of the Guru.

Today the sun is blazing so brightly while the air temperature is minus five degrees Fahrenheit—warmth and cold! With the Guru’s grace I can “witness” these opposites and enter the experience of the Self.

Days before this satsang occurred, while praying at a temple on my birthday, I poured my heart out in complete surrender to God. In the past year, I have been deeply shaken by events that included the unexpected passing of my beloved father only days after we had celebrated his fifty-fifth birthday. This was followed by my being diagnosed with a serious illness, one that is uncommon in young adults. By God’s infinite grace, after numerous rounds of treatment, I am now healed. I am extremely grateful and truly consider this my rebirth, granted by divine compassion.

So, on my birthday, I thanked God with all my heart for giving me the strength to endure every pain and for giving me this new life. I also asked what was my purpose in this reborn life.

Within four days, the universe began answering me. A long-time Siddha Yoga student and friend sent me a link for this satsang. This was the first time I had darshan of Gurumayi ji, and the experience was nothing short of magical—beyond words and logic, purely divine.

    I feel deeply blessed.

When Gurumayi spoke to us in the satsang honoring Makara Sankranti, I felt I was in a direct conversation with her. She spoke about so many things I had been specifically wondering about.

I loved when she said, “You learn and you grow,” and repeated it two more times. Hearing these words three times made me realize that learning and growing is an ongoing process. I learn and I grow. Then I learn again and grow again. And so on.

This teaching stood out to me because I have had a habit of expecting myself to already be perfect at everything. Over time, I have come to understand that, in each moment, I am doing the best I can with what I know at the time. And, as I “learn and grow” more, I am gradually able to do things even more effectively and more in alignment with the virtues.

I plan to repeat “You learn and you grow” to myself as a mantra to encourage myself as I progress and to remind myself that “learning and growing” is a natural process—imbued with Gurumayi’s grace—that will always be part of my life.

When Gurumayi spoke about how she has worked to empower her students to become self-reliant and stand on their own feet, I remembered the early years of my sadhana. I was so fascinated by Gurumayi’s presence, her intelligence, her charisma, her wit—and all I wanted was to become a Siddha Yoga Swami and live with Gurumayi in the Ashram. But that didn’t work out for me; I had to return to my country.

Over the years of my sadhana, I discovered the love in my heart. I discovered the inner Guru and the joy of mastering my own God-given life. In this satsang, Gurumayi reminded me that the Siddha Yoga path leads to inner mastery. She also opened my eyes to how much I received when she sent me back to my country all those years ago.

After chanting Hare Rama Hare Krishna, we sat quietly. When I opened my eyes, there before me was Bade Baba sitting in the Temple. As I gazed at him, it seemed that he was breathing out white light. I could feel the light entering me, and I noticed that the pulsation of light from Bade Baba and the rate of my heart were in sync. With each pulsation of light, my inner being became warmer and warmer, filled with the light.

I later realized that I had been given a direct experience of the third line of Gurumayi’s Message. I am so grateful to Gurumayi and Bade Baba for this experience!

This morning, I was reflecting on the connection between two sentences that Gurumayi said in the satsang. One was “I have made every effort to get you on your own feet” and the other was “What have you been doing since January 1?”

On January 1, Gurumayi gave us the immeasurable gift of her Message for 2026. At that time, she did not elucidate her Message. I felt that, by doing this, she was entrusting us to unfold the Message for ourselves through our own efforts and our own studentship.

I felt confident I could do that because, through the years, I had learned so many ways to study the Message. So, I used methods such as repeating the Message to myself, physicalizing it, turning to it for guidance throughout the day, reflecting on it with sadhana buddies, writing shares about my experiences, and more.

To me, the way Gurumayi initially presented the Message and then gave us several weeks to work with it before she spoke about it during the Makara Sankranti satsang was a beautiful way of encouraging our self-reliance. I felt so good when Gurumayi asked, “What have you been doing since January 1?”

After participating in Sweet Surprise 2026 and the satsang in honor of Makara Sankranti, I feel incredibly grateful to Gurumayi for the inner freedom she bestows on me. Over my life, Gurumayi has taught me to be self-reliant by meditating and listening inside for guidance. In both satsangs, I felt joy dancing in my being and complete oneness with all of us together in this sacred experience. I loved learning about the Surya Gayatri mantra being a portal to moksha. I want that state of inner freedom!

On January 1, I was fortunate to participate in Sweet Surprise, to receive Gurumayi’s Message, and chant with Gurumayi, yet I felt some void in my heart.

However, on Makara Sankranti, during “The Light of the Sun” satsang, a shimmering enthusiasm resurfaced in me, and my heart was filled with bliss and gratitude. Gurumayi invited us to reflect on and practice her teachings and to cultivate our own self-reliance. Receiving Gurumayi’s guidance, I was able to find the courage and direction to consciously study, reflect, understand, assimilate, and implement her Message for 2026.

I experienced Gurumayi’s love and also observed the free flow of grace and its subtle effect on my heart. I am experiencing renewed energy and confidence in becoming a mindful student.

It was a wonderful satsang, full of Gurumayi’s love, grace, and guidance. When I contemplated Gurumayi’s words about becoming self-reliant, I understood that becoming self-reliant means learning and applying fully what the Guru teaches me. In this way, I am more attuned to the Guru’s grace and guidance that emerges from within. Heartfelt prayer connects me to the Guru’s inner guidance.

I really needed this satsang; it uplifted me! Gurumayi inspired me to do my sadhana in the present time—to make the most of my youth.

While chanting Hare Rama Hare Krishna, I felt a surge of energy and devotion. The Surya Gayatri mantra filled me with warmth and positivity. Gurumayi’s words encouraged me to stay active and focused. I’m grateful for her guidance.

Gurumayi’s grace is always with me, giving me strength and peace, and I’m grateful for her blessings.

For days since the marvelous, lively satsang celebrating Makara Sankranti with Gurumayi, I have experienced Gurumayi’s presence as so very close. The wonder of having a Sadguru on the planet at this time makes me so happy!

This experience, this wonderment, keeps arising spontaneously, filling me with a quiet, loving calmness. A certainty arises within me that this calmness flowing beneath all things is eternal. I feel that no matter what happens on the outside, this quiet flow blesses everyone and everything.

For me, there is a never-ending flow of grace—Gurumayi’s vivid and delight-filled darshan continues. I am filled with gratitude and amazement. Walking the Siddha Yoga path with the support of the Siddha Yoga path website is a true wonder!

A few days before this satsang, I was worrying about my age and my future. Shri Gurumayi’s advice not to worry about our age but rather to concentrate on “our inner stance, our inner attitude” empowered me. I realized that, yes, I may be sixty-six years old, but inside I feel like I’m forty-eight!

A great sense of relief overcame me as this new perspective gave my mind a more positive outlook.

I am grateful to Shri Gurumayi for her divine words of healing and empowerment.

I woke up at 4:00 a.m. so I could drive upstate to offer seva for the satsang in honor of Makara Sankranti. Filled with purpose and excitement, I listened to the recording of Baba reciting Shri Guru Gita as I drove.

It was dark outside, but as soon as I was close to Shree Muktananda Ashram, I looked in my rearview mirror and saw the sunrise with brilliant stripes of red and orange peeking out from behind the trees. I felt like the sun was welcoming me to the Ashram.

During the Makara Sankranti satsang, Gurumayi ji shared an anecdote about a young person expressing concern about people becoming old. I, too, have been worried about the elderly members of my family. Gurumayi uplifted me when I heard her say, “Old is gold” and “The sun is so old, the sun is so gold.”

Gurumayi’s words answered all my questions and doubts. I felt filled with a new energy, with golden energy, like “the light of the sun.” The worries I had carried for the past few days simply vanished. This inspiration encourages me to remain active while walking the path of Siddha Yoga.

Gurumayi has truly inspired me to study and live her Message for 2026.

Gurumayi’s words during the Makara Sankranti satsang resonated with me, especially when she asked what we have been doing since January 1.

Later that day I asked myself, “What have I been doing?” The answer was that I was still trying to do what I had always been able to do up until a major life change three years ago—I might add, without much success. When I thought about Gurumayi’s Message for 2026, and especially about the first line: “Renew! Reset your mind,” I realized I should put the focus on what I can do now.

As I finished writing this share, the clouds moved and sunlight streamed through the window as if Lord Surya were confirming this realization: “Yes, exactly!”

Today’s Makara Sankranti satsang gave me the opportunity to review my Siddha Yoga sadhana in terms of the myriad ways I have experienced the inner light over the years—as white, red, blue, and the light of the void, too.

Then, when I heard Gurumayi’s words “Enlighten your consciousness,” an interesting phenomenon occurred. I experienced the word enlighten as a way of “lightening up,” in the sense of casting off unnecessarily heavy burdens in my awareness—ideas and feelings that don’t serve the purpose of Gurumayi’s Message or the purpose of my life.

    How revealing—and how wonderful!

Before “The Light of the Sun” began, I spontaneously felt that I needed to prepare well. So I prepared not only myself but also the area where I would be participating. After this preparation, I felt very calm and settled.

Then I watched the mesmerizing images of sunrises from various places around the world while listening to the melodious flute. This helped my mind to calm down further and got my heart in tune with the energy of the satsang. Later on, when Gurumayi ji spoke about the importance of preparing for a satsang, I was overjoyed.

This experience also helped me to get a deeper understanding about working with the fourth line of Gurumayi’s Message for 2026. I felt I have to be present and open to listen to the whisper of guidance from within—and then apply it.

I am so grateful for this “spontaneous” satsang, because it helped me see how I can continue my study and practice of Gurumayi’s Message by holding the awareness of “the light of the sun” within and without.

As soon as I heard about this satsang, I joined it, with a heart full of joy! A few minutes later, Gurumayi began chanting Hare Rama Hare Krishna with sweetness and serenity. My body finally relaxed after days of tension; my mind settled down after days of racing thoughts.

I felt open and ready to receive Gurumayi’s teachings after chanting. I recognized myself in the story Gurumayi told of the young man kneeling before Bade Baba and praying for guidance. I also felt inspired by Gurumayi’s reminding us to focus on her Message for 2026.

This satsang was the breath of fresh air I needed to get out of my mental confusion. For me, it is creating a path of jewels to help me cross the present moment, illuminated by the Guru’s light.

Shortly after we began chanting Hare Rama Hare Krishna with Gurumayi, tears started to roll down my cheeks. I had felt a strong bond to this chant when I first discovered the Siddha Yoga path in 1994, and to this day I experience immense gratitude for having encountered this path of grace as a young adult.

Today’s chant reconnected me with the longing, the openness, and the gratitude I had experienced as a new seeker. I also felt that my tears were washing away some emotional turmoil I had been experiencing recently. I felt so grateful once again that today’s satsang gave me an opportunity to practice Gurumayi’s Message for 2026.

In this satsang with Gurumayi, I rediscovered my “fresh, young spirit.”

While singing Hare Rama Hare Krishna, I suddenly felt the impulse to get my cymbals out of the cupboard. When I was much younger, I was part of the music ensemble at the local Siddha Yoga meditation center. That was one of the most beautiful times in my sadhana. Whenever I played the cymbals, I felt like I became one with Baba Muktananda. While playing, I was ecstatic and disciplined at the same time.

Today, I had the same experience again as I let my cymbals dance to the beat of the wonderful music. I didn’t think I was “old”; I felt the rhythm in my blood just like I did when I was a teenager.

I heard Gurumayi speak about how engaging sincerely in one’s own sadhana does not make one “dependent” on the Guru. Rather than depending on external sources for support or validation, I can experience true growth when I rely on the light of awareness already present within me.

I heard Gurumayi say, “You learn and you grow,” a few times. I understood that when I do this, I not only support my own well-being but also contribute to the greater good. This, for me, is one way that the fourth line of Gurumayi’s Message for 2026 will come alive in practice.

I am grateful to Gurumayi for giving me the opportunity to understand how to practice relying on my own divine light within. This is such a vital understanding that resonates deeply with me: I am the one to honor it and to practice it, and to honor grace and self-effort in this way.

The sky was completely overcast the morning of the Makara Sankranti satsang. As the recitation of the Surya Gayatri mantra began, the sun gently peeked through the clouds. It was only partially visible yet its radiance was so brilliant. It continued to shine throughout the satsang, then gently returned behind the clouds as the satsang concluded.

I felt that Lord Surya, “the light of the world,” had joined us in the Siddha Yoga Universal Hall, showering grace and blessings.

I am grateful to Gurumayi for this beautiful satsang!

This morning at 3 a.m. I had a dream. In my dream I was chanting Ram Ram. When I woke up, I went before Gurumayi’s picture and offered pranam with gratitude. Then I realized that today is Makara Sankranti, so I repeated the Surya Gayatri mantra and felt love inside and out.

Then at 9 a.m. I heard about “The Light of the Sun,” the satsang via live video stream that I could participate in that evening, and I connected again with the chant in my dream. It felt so divine!

I woke up in the dark so I could take my child to school. It was cold. As I was driving back home, the day started to clear and the first rays of the sun shone in the distance. Inside, I felt joy and peace. The birds were singing.

Then I thought, “Ah! It’s Makara Sankranti!” It felt like a sacred moment because I had experienced the sun within and without. It was a beautiful experience.

The Makara Sankranti satsang with Gurumayi was a deeply transformative experience for me. Reciting the Surya Gayatri mantra felt like an inner sunrise—pure, energizing, and awakening. Chanting Hare Rama Hare Krishna brought to me a sense of softness, devotion, and deep surrender.

In her talk, without directly addressing anything personal, Gurumayi indirectly answered all the questions I had been carrying within.

I am just fifteen years of age, yet I experienced immense grace—far beyond my understanding. This experience reminded me that grace is not limited by age and responds to sincerity and openness of heart.

This satsang reaffirmed my faith that when the seeker is ready, guidance arrives. For me it arrived quietly—through experience, silence, and love.

Before the Makara Sankranti satsang was about to begin, I contemplated my intention for the satsang. I felt that I wanted to offer good energy to the satsang and my intention formed: I want to offer a quiet, still mind.

During the satsang, I made the effort to listen with a quiet mind. The recitation of the Surya Gayatri mantra was profound for me on many different levels. I opened my heart and my mind to the vibrations of light and grace.

As I watched Gurumayi forming the word “meditate” with her lips, it felt like I was diving into a wonderful, velvety nothingness. My mind was peaceful and still for an extended time, and my heart was so happy. It felt sacred.

My five-year-old woke up as soon as the satsang began. He immediately ran to get his Legos and proceeded to sit next to me in my meditation space to play and participate in the satsang. He hummed along to the entire chant melody as he worked on his Lego creation. And then when Gurumayi spoke, he paused his Lego building to look intently at Gurumayi and listen to her speak. When Gurumayi spoke about the energy of Makara Sankranti, the warmth of the sun, and the colorful kites flying in the sky, my son let out a big laugh, spread out his arms, and said, “YES, like this!”

I experienced such amazement and gratitude at this opportunity to receive darshan of Gurumayi along with my son. It seemed she had spoken to each one of us, personally and directly, in ways we could both receive and understand. I am so grateful to be raising my children with the Guru’s grace and the treasure of the Siddha Yoga teachings.

I loved Gurumayi’s question, “What have you been doing since January 1?” Since January 1, I have been engaging with her Message! I especially love physicalizing the Message and gaining new insights in my mind and body from doing so.

I find that no matter what life issue or question I have, if I hold it in my awareness and repeat Gurumayi’s Message, an answer comes to me. Often, I notice that a word or sentence from the Message especially stands out; I feel clearly guided.

Since participating in Sweet Suprise on January 1, I have felt infused with new energy and inspiration—which I have been bringing into my relationship with myself and others, my work, the seva I offer, and the care I give my household.

For me, it was exhilarating to be with Gurumayi after having been putting her Message into practice in the previous few weeks. I am so grateful to Gurumayi for teaching us how to be self-reliant—and Self-reliant!

When Gurumayi said that she has made every effort to get us on our own feet, I could see my whole life, with about forty years of sadhana, unfold through that lens. It’s absolutely true for me. Every experience I’ve had, every focus of study, every chanting and meditation session, has gotten me to this place, where I have unshakable faith in my inner light. Sometimes the light is hard to access; sometimes I have feelings that pull me away from where I want to be—but I have a knowing that goes beyond whatever is happening in my daily life. The value of this gift is immeasurable. I feel that we—Siddha Yogis—are all the most fortunate of people!

Gurumayi’s teachings, her shakti, and her love continue to open me to my heart; they are my life’s support. I turn to Gurumayi, to Baba, and to Bade Baba again and again to have their darshan within myself.

During the meditation, I had the experience of being in the Temple, floating there with a bird’s eye view, immersed in the shakti. The awareness arose—“Ah! This is the Siddha Yoga Universal Hall.” It was so beautiful and powerful, and it reminded me that the shakti knows no bounds.

The part of the satsang dearest to my heart was when Gurumayi spoke to us. She conveyed so many teachings, and I felt them reorient and reorganize me into a more coherent, stable person. One of the teachings that stood out to me was the importance of preparation before satsang so that we are open to receive.

I felt totally prepared—with my own preparation prior to the satsang and then by immersing myself in the sweetness of the speakers, chanting the Surya Gayatri mantra with Gurumayi, meditating, and chanting Hare Rama Hare Krishna. I experienced Gurumayi’s teachings effortlessly flowing into my heart and mind. And now I have a treasure chest of teachings to hold and contemplate.

The day after the satsang I found myself expressing to my husband at breakfast, “I love my life.” He sat and mused on this and agreed. We both feel bathed in a wondrous pool of love. Yes, I love this path!

I was astounded to see that our whole house and garden were bathed in a heavenly, golden, wheat-colored light such that I had never seen before. I was transfixed; it was just so beautiful and extraordinary. I stood there and let myself be bathed by it.

Later that day I saw online that there had been the satsang in the early hours of the morning. I had missed it… but maybe I hadn’t!

In Australia, where I was sitting in the Siddha Yoga Universal Hall for this satsang with Gurumayi, it was 2:00 a.m. The sky outside was dark. Yet being with Gurumayi, I felt the sun rising—not just a little bit, but fully inside me. It was like finding a spot in the sun that warms the core of me.

Gurumayi shared about a visiting sevite who accepted her invitation to speak his prayer aloud in the Temple. Gurumayi said that when she heard the person recite his prayer, she found it beautiful—and that others who heard it felt as though it were their own prayer being spoken. This story held great meaning for me. This person being invited to speak his prayer aloud in the company of the Guru was, for me, a living reminder that our sincere prayers are received, often in ways that are beyond what we could foresee.

One way I have been living the guidance of Gurumayi’s Message is through prayer. For me, prayer gives direct access to the light within.

Several years ago, while serving on staff at Shree Muktananda Ashram, I prayed to Bade Baba for the opportunity to share my love for my Guru and the Siddha Yoga path with my future children. I am so fortunate to have shared this path with my twenty-month-old daughter, chanting and meditating together ever since I was expecting her.

Today, my daughter and I participated in the satsang in honor of Makara Sankranti. As soon as I logged onto the Siddha Yoga path website, she ran over to sit with me, asking for “more Gurumayi, Mama.”

One of my daughter’s favorite songs is called “Mr. Golden Sun.” How fortunate to honor our golden sun today! She was so excited when, at the conclusion of the satsang, Gurumayi “waved bye to her.”

I am deeply grateful for the Siddha Yoga Universal Hall, which allows me to participate in satsang and share these teachings with her.

After the Makara Sankranti celebration, I was drawn to go outside. It was a sunny day, yet still cold. As I stood on my driveway, I saw a hawk in the distance flying toward me. As it came closer, I saw it was a Cooper’s hawk with its beautiful underside of yellow-gold. As the hawk came overhead, it began to circle. The sun highlighted its yellow-gold form with black accents. The bird kept circling right above me—seemingly endlessly. And as I watched in delight, I remembered the kites that are flown on this day. The hawk’s form is similar to a kite, and the color of its feathers honored the day! I remember learning from Gurumayi that nature speaks to us all the time.

My heart is filled with wonder and gratitude. How can it be, that after thirty-three years of Siddha Yoga sadhana, I have experienced yet another watershed moment? Gurumayi’s divine presence and the wisdom she imparted in this satsang moved me so deeply. When she spoke about the last line of her Message for 2026, I had a vision that the universe was filled with light. This lasted for a short and supremely powerful moment.

What a blessing to be on this grace-filled path.

It felt so good to chant with Gurumayi. After we chanted, as I listened to Lakshmi sing, I felt so happy and full of ease. Then, when the solo drumbeat began, my happy feeling increased. My body began to naturally move in rhythm with the beat of the drum. I felt I was connecting with the rhythm, the beat, of the shakti. I experienced that I was fully coming into the present moment and loving that moment so fully. I had the sense that this drumbeat was bringing everyone in the Siddha Yoga Universal Hall together in sync, in the present moment.

Directly after that, Gurumayi spoke to us. And I felt so open and prepared to receive her words. Toward the end of her talk, Gurumayi spoke about how preparation is very important in order to experience the fullness of the satsang. I felt very blessed to have been given these preparations by Gurumayi right before she spoke.

When news of the Makara Sankranti satsang was announced, I was filled with joy. Lord Surya rising in the horizon is the first deity to whom I offer a  pranam each morning when I look out of my window. As I bow to the sun, I silently pray for blessings for my family and the entire world.

Throughout this satsang, as I focused on each of its elements, I felt so close to Lord Surya as if the warm rays of the sun were enveloping me.

Gurumayi’s query during the satsang about what we have been doing since receiving her Message for 2026 inspired me to consider my own efforts. I have focused on trying to “reset my mind.” I often do this multiple times throughout the day. One of my favorite ways to do this involves looking in the mirror. This morning, I looked deeply into my own eyes and, inspired by Gurumayi’s words in the satsang, said, “I am the light of God.” I did this over and over until my breath expanded, my spine became erect, and my cheeks broadened into a smile. I literally felt that I was filled with and emanating light. “I am the light of God.”

I am so grateful for Gurumayi’s teachings.

I am so grateful for Gurumayi’s Message for 2026 and for this satsang in honor of Makara Sankranti. Like the sun, Gurumayi illumines my life. I take the Guru’s words to my heart to contemplate and put into action in my daily life. I feel Gurumayi wants to make us aware of our own greatness and of the truth that we are also radiating suns because our true nature is to be God’s light.

As I drove into the city to join my friends for this surprise satsang with Gurumayi, I was welcomed by the sight of a bright sunset and a golden sky. It was magnificent! My heart opened, and I felt a sense of deep gratitude. During the satsang, I experienced a sense of reawakening. I felt as though my connection with Gurumayi deepened and a pervasive longing to reconnect with my heart finally resurfaced.

I am filled with joy and optimism after participating in this satsang. Gurumayi was so direct and lovingly clear about our responsibilities as seekers on the Siddha Yoga path.

Gurumayi’s question about what we have been doing since Sweet Surprise 2026 caused me to reflect. Since receiving Gurumayi’s Message for 2026, the word that has captivated my attention is “reset.” In contemplation, I noticed a tendency of my mind to judge and create distance between myself and others. I have focused on recalibrating my mind around this tendency. Whenever I notice I am thinking in this way, I mentally say “reset.” I then draw on the inspiration of Baba Muktananda’s teaching “See God in each other.”

This practice of seeing myself and others as God in the moment has had a huge impact. It enables me to become softer and unexpectedly fills me with wonder. It’s as if I am seeing myself and others through God’s eyes. I am eagerly anticipating exploring Gurumayi’s Message further over this year.

My husband and I woke up at 4:30 a.m. to prepare for the satsang at 5 a.m. It was still dark, and as we sat in the quiet of the morning hours, a feeling of great joy came over me and just continued to grow inside my heart as the satsang proceeded. Gurumayi’s talk made me smile. It was candid and heartwarming, and since I am in my 70s now, hearing her say, “Old is gold!” was so beautifully touching. I feel refreshed!

Today, on the auspicious occasion of Makara Sankranti, I had the grace of attending the satsang with Gurumayi. As the chanting of Hare Rama Hare Krishna began, a deep inner stillness arose within me, and I clearly felt the living presence of Lord Krishna. It was a direct experience, felt in my heart and throughout my being, unfolding through the compassionate grace of Gurumayi ji.

This sacred chant has been my companion for the past thirty-five years of my Siddha Yoga journey, and yet today it felt completely new—vibrant, alive, and powerful. The chanting infused me with fresh energy, devotion, and inner clarity, gently drawing my awareness inward.

I bow with deep gratitude to Gurumayi for these profound blessings.

After we chanted the Surya Gayatri mantra, my meditation was enveloped in golden light. A shower of liquid, shimmering light entered my body through the crown of my head and filled me with warmth. I felt total rejuvenation and deep calm. I experienced merging with everything around me in joy. What a gift!

My eleven-year-old daughter has been saying a prayer every night that she will be able to receive Gurumayi’s darshan. This intention has been at the front of her mind for years.

This morning, just before the satsang started, we received a call from her school that the power had gone out. This was the case at many schools in our area, but hers was the only one where the generator wasn’t working, so all of the kids were being sent home early on the buses. She walked in the door just in time to chant with Gurumayi, hear her speak, and receive her darshan!
