This teaching of Baba was a reminder. Many years ago, Baba taught us that the thoughts in the mind are nothing but citi and are created by citi-shakti. I had forgotten this teaching.

Lately, I had been having too many thoughts disturbing my meditation. I had been trying to use different techniques to deal with the thoughts, but was left feeling frustrated.

Now, when I once again practiced observing all thoughts as the creation of Consciousness, I was at peace. I was not disturbed by the thoughts, and I did not have to fight them anymore.

    Thank you, Baba.

This teaching from Baba Muktananda freed me after years of trying to subdue my mind. And, as I practiced simply watching the thoughts arise and subside, they lost their power over me and I was able to experience deep, blissful meditation for the first time.

I can never thank Baba enough for opening the doors to freedom.

I love this teaching! I love the feeling of being held by Baba’s assurance. I know his words “I assure you,” are spoken from his profound attainment.

As I meditate, assured by the knowledge that “nothing but Consciousness can flash through the mind,” I find myself becoming absorbed in the energy of the thoughts that arise. I notice that this energy arises out of a joyous space in my heart center. I see the colors and movement of the thoughts as a playful, delighted, and endlessly creative dance of the goddess Kundalini Shakti. And as I watch her dance, I become aware that I have entered the state of the witness. Here I am silent, still, flawlessly quiet.
