The young sevites—their faces, their whole expression—spread so much energy, love, dedication, stillness, and focus. They bring true inspiration to me. They evoke youth in me, an elderly person; I feel refreshed and revived. I’m truly grateful for these beautiful young expressions of the virtues.

I'm so happy to contemplate these pictures filled with joy. And I see how service elicits this joy. To me, seva seems to be like the sap of a tree (sève in French). As it draws me to my heart, seva becomes joy.

I am so grateful to have practiced seva through the Siddha Yoga path. Whereas before I wanted to do what I liked, now I simply love whatever I am doing. Instead of focusing outside myself, my attention turns inside, toward the temple of the Heart.

When I visited Shree Muktananda Ashram this summer, I learned about meditation, how it works, and how good it feels. Every time I went into the meditation cave, it felt like swimming in a lake of love and golden water. I felt so much energy for living and moving on.

The sevites at the Ashram taught me about seva and the sweetness of Shree Muktananda Ashram. My supervisor was great; he smiled all the time. Whenever I offered seva, I always thought of Gurumayi and that she is happy when I offer seva. Gurumayi is so kind and the best Guru in the world!

The concentration, diligence, and sweet enjoyment expressed in these photographs is palpable.  I am in awe. The good qualities of Siddha yogis of all ages are on full display in these wonderful pictures.

The photos of the adults teaching the children how to perform specific tasks while modeling how to offer seva with focus, care, and love are so moving. I am inspired.

I am so happy and feel utterly peaceful watching the children and adult Siddha Yogis performing seva blissfully for the Guru at the Ashram. May God bless them all!

Painting the rudraksha beads on the Lord Shiva statue was one of the first sevas I offered. It was in 1979 when Baba had this statue made, and every day he would walk through the gardens at Shree Muktananda Ashram to see how it was progressing. One day, as I was offering seva, I was amazed because the rudraksha beads seemed to be full of life! It was so easy to repeat the mantra!

I experience this statue as holy and sacred. It’s so wonderful to see a young one many years later enjoying offering seva with this Lord Shiva statue, too.

Wow!!! So much joy in this gallery. Looking at each of these photos, I immediately feel drawn into a pool of sunshine. A big smile spreads across my face, and I am uplifted. I am inspired to get my fingers smudgy, absorb my own eyes in the tasks before me, and dive back into seva!

These photos show me how the youngest of us embody love in action.
