Happiness erupts in my heart and a smile appears on my face as I hear this arati to Lord Ganesh. It’s the same happiness I experienced when I met Gurumayi thirty years ago in Shree Muktananda Ashram with my three daughters from Australia. “Long journey,” Gurumayi said to us, and I felt she had seen through all my lifetimes, and I had come home. Gurumayi’s smile at that indelible moment reminded me that the happiness of the Self is always within.

I feel so happy when I sing this arati! It is as if the power of Ganesha to remove all obstacles is removing the veils that lie between me and perfect joy. This arati is yet another treasure on the Siddha Yoga path website.

I feel such happiness and joy when I hear this arati. I have been playing it every day.

I listened to this arati several times, and then I started singing along. It was not easy for me to sing all the words, but the joy that arose inspired me to sing it again and again. While singing, I envisioned Lord Ganesh dancing with tiny bells strapped to his feet. I expressed my inner and outer joy by waving my arms and hands as I sang.

I will continue to sing this arati during celebrations honoring Lord Ganesh. Just thinking of it makes me happy!
