Last year, I was fortunate to have the opportunity to offer seva in Shree Muktananda Ashram for two months. During that time, I visited Bhagavan Nityananda’s Temple every single evening to sing the Arati and meditate.

When I read this intention, that is the memory that sprang to mind—being in the Temple in the golden presence of Bade Baba and his infinite blessings.

I am therefore inspired to carry this vision with me throughout each day—to every place I visit, every encounter I have, every task I perform—so that I may create “a temple of blessings” for myself and for others.

Every moment I feel the blessings of my Guru. Not just in happy moments but also in most distressing moments. Recently, I lost a very dear one and I was in deep grief. During this time came the news of my daughter’s pregnancy. It was long awaited.

This blessing of new life—something I’d long been yearning for—came when I needed it the most. Ever since I received shaktipat initiation, I always feel I am living in a “temple of blessings.”

A Temple of Blessings resonates with me. So often I say “Thank you” to Gurumayi for the blessings in my life. It’s my gratitude for the feeling of contentment in my heart, for the certainty of this path, for the invisible protection and love around me, for the center of joy within me. It’s my gratitude for the flow of grace that guides me, for the ability to follow the path, and for the desire to do so. All of these are blessings; I am indeed “a temple of blessings.”

When I first began to follow the Siddha Yoga path, an inner voice told me that, from now on, I didn’t need to wander from temple to temple in search of God. I had found the path for which I had been searching.

After receiving shaktipat initiation from Shri Gurumayi, I have often experienced that I am sitting in “a temple of blessings.” Carrying out my daily sadhana and following Shri Guru’s teachings have brought about a great change in my perceptions of the world and of my own self. I have experienced that Shri Guru’s grace is always with me, helping me to go through challenging times and showing me the way to navigate through those circumstances.
