In Hindi “the love of time” is samay ki prit. The word prit signifies the highest form of love. And the Hindi translation of “the damaru’s rhyme” is damru ka git. In my culture the damaru is seen not just as a drum, but as a sacred instrument played in temples and during satsangs.
At first, understanding this teaching as a whole was difficult for me. However, after deep contemplation I realized that my entire Siddha Yoga sadhana embodies this highest form of love—whether I experience it in Siddha Yoga satsangs, at Bade Baba’s Temple during the arati, in singing the Morning and Evening Prayer, or while living at home with my family.
Damru ka git, “the damaru’s rhyme,” fills me with bliss, devotion, and ecstasy. It nurtures my love for my Shri Guru and my inner Guru, who constantly guides me from within. This love brings me zeal and happiness, enriching my life both in the sacred atmosphere of my Shri Guru’s satsang and in the outer world.
