I have been intrigued by “the evolution of time,” which at first glance appeared to me as a paradox. I understand evolution is about growth, development, and it is not necessarily linear—there are cycles. So it was not initially clear to me how time itself evolves. And then I thought about how everything, including time and myself, arises from Consciousness. Seen in this way, I better understood Gurumayi’s teaching.

For example, I am not the same person that embarked on a spiritual path over thirty-six years ago after meeting Gurumayi. The Siddha Yoga practices of meditation, chanting, contemplation, and dakshina continue to transform me. I am evolving with each repetition of Shri Guru Gita, with each heartfelt prayer offered in gratitude. And from a universal perspective of the interconnectedness of all, as each one of us evolves, I understand the whole also evolves.
