For me, “The purity of time” means that each moment is a precious opportunity, a sacred container I can fill.
Will I allow this moment—this vessel of Consciousness—to resonate with the holy mantra my Guru has given me, which declares that God lives within me and everyone else? Will I fill this moment with joy? Will I sustain my absorption in the Self?
Time is teaching me that the better I treat each moment, the better I build a vast treasure of
shakti—a reservoir of Consciousness that illumines my path and fills my heart with pure gratitude.

When I thought about this teaching, I saw that time isn’t dependent on anyone or anything. No matter what anyone may choose to do within the framework of time, time itself remains unaffected.
I contemplated how I could make my time pure. I realized I could do so by thinking pure, positive thoughts, by doing good actions, and by being dharmic and focusing on cultivating the virtues.
This morning, I enjoyed repeating this teaching out loud over and again. I felt that saying the word
purity aloud gave me a sense of its essence.

As I contemplated “the purity of time” this morning from the seaside hotel where I am staying, I watched the morning sun illuminate the entire expanse of the sea. A short time later, a rainbow appeared, seemingly from the surface of the sea, and the blue sky was adorned with a bridge of seven colors.
In the stillness of the morning, countless small birds sang their own songs in the warmth of the sun. I felt that they were expressing their blessings. And, in the purity of that hour, I experienced that all the life around me was touched and grateful for the pure serenity.
