Initially in my sadhana, bliss unfolded only at certain, unpredictable moments. Then I began to briefly experience bliss after reciting Shri Guru Gita. When I learned I could practice the virtues with the understanding that they already exist within me, I applied this understanding with love and devotion when chanting. To my delight, I experienced bliss throughout the whole chant.

What brought my bliss to the next level was when I practiced equality consciousness—seeing God in everyone equally—for one month. At the end of the month, Lord Shiva appeared to me in a dream. He was dancing and indicated without words that I should dance with him. As we faced each other and danced, deep bliss arose.

Now my state is becoming more and more blissful, and I trust that this universe is also made of bliss. I am grateful knowing that my self-effort over time has been met with enormous grace. Through “The blissfulness of time,” I now know that I too am bliss.
