Like every day since mid-January, the first thing I did today was to open the Siddha Yoga path website and read Gurumayi’s teaching from In the Presence of Time. Then I researched the significance of the word glory in an American English dictionary, reading these three definitions: “Glory is the fame and admiration you gain by doing something impressive,” “The glory of something is its great beauty or quality of being impressive,” and “If you glory in a situation or activity, you enjoy it very much.”

After meditating and reciting Shri Guru Gita, I wrote this in my journal:

“The glory of time” is to keep my mind fixed on the lotus feet of the Guru as I recite Shri Guru Gita,

to relish the vibrant ripples of this practice during the day,

and, at the end of my day, to praise the transformative power of the Guru’s grace

as I offer my gratitude to Shri Gurumayi.
