Dear readers,

Namaste!

What a blessing it has been for all of us, at Gurumayi’s behest, to be focusing on svādhyāya during Baba Muktananda’s month—especially since Baba established, taught, and ensured people engaged in the practice of svādhyāya on the Siddha Yoga path. We have, to date, completed six Svādhyāya Study Sessions. And soon, we’ll be joining one another for the last time in this particular configuration. Session VII will be the final Svādhyāya Study Session; however, I am sure that you will continue to build on what you have learned and practiced over the last six weeks.

I hope you have come to understand that by taking small steps to gain greater precision in your practice—precision in posture, precision in pronunciation, precision in gaze, precision in breath, and precision in listening—you will reap great benefits. You will continue to recognize and further appreciate how your Siddha Yoga sādhanā is an anchor in your life. A drop of nectar is sufficient to revive someone who has become withered by the stresses of life. Similarly, a “drop” of recitation done with precision is enlivening.

Session VII will take place this upcoming Wednesday. The topic of this session is the mind and its role in the practice of svādhyāya. You will learn how one-pointed concentration on the text of Shrī Guru Gītā supports you to imbibe the wisdom contained in the sacred mantras and experience their beneficent power.
