On October 15, as my wife and I drove around upstate New York, the Baba Moon rose so gloriously as the sun set that it seemed as if two brilliant suns were lighting the sky with beauty and radiance. I felt it was such a clear and beautiful reflection of the inner Self.

The variety among the photos of "Baba's moon" is very inspiring; they offer a meditation in themselves.
As I drove home with another Siddha Yoga student this Sunday in Tuscany, Baba's full moon was brighter than any of this summer's other full moons. We stopped to enjoy the breathtaking sight of the huge orange "Baba moon." We both recognized Baba's presence in our hearts as we drove on, and as this moon rose up in the sky over the mountains. Such a joy!

Throughout this month I have been gazing up at the moon and remembering all that Baba gave to me and to the entire world. Then, on the night of the full moon, thick clouds obscured my view of the moon.
When I woke up before dawn the next morning, the clouds had vanished and the brilliant full moon was lighting up the sky and the river below. I gazed at it for a while, again thinking of Baba. Then, as I sat to meditate, I entered a vast, still space permeated by a sense of abundance and completion.
Today, viewing this exquisite gallery of moon photos from around the world, I remember and revisit that experience within.
