I sometimes let my attention get distracted by all the "waves" that my mind creates: wrestling with my thoughts, regretting past actions, worrying about the future. As I listened to Baba’s words, I became aware of the vastness of the Consciousness from which all those waves emerge, and the great support this vastness offers. As I continue to listen, my awareness seemed to deepen into that vast ocean, and the peaceful bliss of letting my cares and worries dissolve into a warm ocean of love enveloped me.

When I played the audio of this teaching this morning, an amazing thing happened!  Our daughter, who is almost two years old, suddenly became completely still and listened with full attention to the words. I was even more amazed when she started repeating the words after the reader: love, wave, bliss, bubble, peace.

We both entered into a moment of stillness as we smiled at each other. And then we  played the teaching again and again.

Thank you, Baba, for your wisdom and teachings. Thank you, Gurumayi, for making the Siddha Yoga teachings available every day via the Siddha Yoga path website.

As I read this teaching, I imagine Baba writing at his desk overlooking the courtyard in Gurudev Siddha Peeth in India, or maybe viewing the Pacific Ocean in Hawaii or California. I imagine the words pouring out of him and onto the page as he writes, “Ah, what ecstasy!”

Thank you, Baba, for sharing with us what it feels like in the abode of the Siddhas. It gives me a glimpse of that bliss, that love, that peace.
