With each click on each moon photo, I felt my heart burst with love.
As I travelled around the world through viewing these photos of the moon—the one same Baba moon everywhere—I experienced that I am one in my heart with Gurumayi and Baba and Bade Baba and all the great saints of all times and places.
Happy Birthday, Baba. Thank you, Gurumayi. Thank you, Baba!
I love taking photos of the moon to share on the Siddha Yoga path website. Yesterday, rain and clouds were forecast for May 10th, and I thought I probably wouldn't get a shot of Baba’s full moon. But a voice inside said, “The inner fullness—experience the inner fullness.”
It so happens that this year my birthday coincides with Baba’s Lunar Birthday. So, today I celebrate the birth of the one who made my own birth something to really celebrate, who gave meaning to the words: “Inner fullness.”
I met Baba in 1979, and it was truly a life-transforming experience. He gave me the experience of my own worthiness and showed me that the love I was seeking is within me as my very essence.
I can never thank Gurumayi and Baba enough for the grace that continues to infuse and transform my experience of life.
Happy Birthday, Baba!
I had planned to photograph the full moon, but it's been raining all week and too overcast to ever see the moon. Then today, the day of the full moon, I had a vision of the full moon.
As my breath began “breathing itself,” in rhythm with the repetition of the mantra, I was carried deep within myself, into an inner vision. In silhouette against an enormous full moon rising on the horizon, I saw a boat being rowed at the same rhythm of the breathing and the mantra. I could feel myself being pulled into this boat, and I rode into the gentle cool bliss of moonlight. This ecstatic vision inspired me to believe that the rain might stop to reveal the moon outside, but the rain continued, and I was grateful to have the experience within my own Self.
As I viewed the photo of the full moon over the buildings of Gurudev Siddha Peeth, I experienced a wave of gratitude and love for the legacy and blessings of our beloved Baba.
