Images of Nature II

On the Siddha Yoga path, we acknowledge the presence of the Divine in all of creation—and this divinity is revealed in myriad forms in the natural world. The beauty and wonder we find in nature can inspire us, as seekers, to recognize the beauty within us and everywhere around us.

The Nature Gallery contains photographs taken in the wondrous environs of Shree Muktananda Ashram, where Gurumayi currently resides. The Ashram is located in upstate New York, surrounded by expansive forests and rolling hills, brimming with wildlife. Take your time as you view the gallery. Allow the images to transport you to the serene stillness of the Guru’s abode, and let nature’s splendor connect you to the splendor of your own great heart.

These photos take my breath away! They make me feel close to the photographer and connect me to the beauty we have on Earth: a tiny drop, colorful leaves, light reflections in water, clouds.

So much poetry in every detail! I’m inspired and reminded to slow down, and really see.

Viewing the Images of Nature during this month of October, I was inspired by the ingenuity and creativity of Mother Nature. For me, the variety of colors and the simplicity of expressions are mystifying and majestic. The symmetry and monochromatic color in the photo of the acorns aroused in me a deep sense of amazement and tenderness. These photos have the capacity to align my mind and heart to the glories of the Earth and to engender a deep appreciation for the simple everyday miracles I might otherwise overlook.
