This teaching supports my understanding that I must embody the Guru’s teachings as I live my life in the world, and not just when I am in the Ashram or among Siddha Yogis. I have come to see that Gurumayi ji’s grace permeates and embraces the entire world.

So when I find myself inclined to react from habit, insecurity, or self-preservation, I strive to change my response to be in alignment with my Guru’s teachings. Each time I act in alignment, I reinforce my ability to preserve a higher inner state. My world becomes “Shri Guru’s world.”

It is my experience that this teaching is life-saving. It has deepened my sadhana immensely.

Last night I had a vivid dream in which I experienced bliss amid unpleasant things and uncomfortable places. When I found that we have been given “Shri Guru’s World” for contemplation, I laughed in recognition of the dream’s significance.

With the support of grace and my effort to change my point of view, I can remember to practice seeing this whole world as “Shri Guru’s world,” not only the parts that I have positive opinions about. I can experience this world as the bliss of the Self.

While reciting Shri Guru Gita and holding the intention for world peace, I found myself completely enveloped in “Shri Guru’s world.” It felt as though the entire universe—from the vast outer world to the most subtle level of my being—was pervaded by the Guru Principle. I was deeply overwhelmed by this revelation.

Through contemplating this experience and interacting with loving Siddha Yogis in sadhana, I have experienced more and more that this entire world is filled with the Guru. I feel immense joy and gratitude in my heart.

During this sacred month of Gurupurnima, I am profoundly blessed to receive and practice these precious teachings.

When I hear Ami’s soothing repetition of “Shri Guru’s world” in Sanskrit, I feel the shakti within, and I know that I am part of that world. I know this as I feel an ongoing presence which nourishes and strengthens me. The Guru and I are one in each moment as part of her world!

After reading, viewing, and listening to the phrase “Shri Guru’s world,” I sat for contemplation. Right away I thought, “That’s a world I want to live in forever,” and I heard the song “What a Wonderful World” playing in my head.

Then I asked, “What exactly is ‘Shri Guru’s world’?” I heard my heart respond that it is the ever-pulsating “play of Consciousness.”

I thought back to times in my life when I was able to resist the pull of old habits and behaviors that kept me stuck, through the grace and wisdom of my Guru’s teachings. It is in these moments that I feel myself living fully within my precious “Shri Guru’s world.”
