When I contemplated the newly posted teaching of Baba’s, I realized that Brahman, the Supreme Self, contracted in creating my small self and in that process, I forgot the great Self that I am.

In order for me to remember the divine light that I am, Brahman manifested in the form of the Guru, so that the spark of remembrance could be set alight through shaktipat initiation. Then, through my earnest effort in sadhana and through the Guru’s grace, little by littIe, step by step, I would remember more and more as I see the reflection of myself, the light of the Self, in Gurumayi’s divine, physical form—returning me back home to the bliss of oneness with Brahman, the Supreme Self.
