For the last four years, my family and I have been reciting Shri Guru Gita daily. It gives us a feeling of calmness and oneness with Gurumayi, as if we were truly seated at her feet.

My mother has been reciting Shri Guru Gita for more than forty-five years! She is proud that my generation is also reciting the sacred text with love and joy and remembering Gurumayi in our prayer.

Pune, India

Recently my mom passed away. During her last moments, I was beside her bed in the hospital, telling her how much I loved her. She was sedated, but I know she heard me. I asked the Siddhas to guide her to the light. Then I chanted Rama Raghava while gently caressing her hand and forehead. The experience was very strong and beautiful. Amidst all the other noises from the intensive care unit, I experienced my mom, the chant, and myself as one.

Yesterday I began to recite Shri Guru Gita with the intention that my mom be guided to the light. I have never before asked the Guru for anything so intensely. I created a small puja altar with the photos of the Siddha Yoga Gurus and a candle. I put a photo of my mom there as well. I have no doubt she is being assisted. I can feel this in my heart as I have never felt anything so strongly before. I plan to continue reciting Shri Guru Gita each day for a few more weeks.

I continue to be eternally grateful for Gurumayi’s grace. As a caregiver for my ninety-four-year-old mom, I sometimes struggle with fatigue. It never fails to refresh me when I am able to recite Shri Guru Gita. Sometimes I just play it in the background in Mom’s room. Such ongoing grace!

Virginia, United States

I was drawn to recite Shri Guru Gita in hopes of overcoming the sadness I was experiencing. As I focused on reciting each syllable, I experienced transcendence and the presence of the Guru. I turned my attention to sending a wish for the experience of peace and love to all beings. I’m filled with sweet gratitude to Gurumayi for showing me this method of solace.

I recited Shri Guru Gita on the morning of my birthday with my mom. It was really blissful. I think that was because it had been a long time since I had recited it.

a twelve-year-old from Montreal, Canada

This morning I was drawn to recite Shri Guru Gita as a way of offering blessings to a family member who is having a challenging time. At one point I had the feeling that my Self was chanting to my Self. Then I remembered to ask for Gurumayi's grace. I realized she would help me find my voice and the right words to support my family member. At the end of the recitation, I experienced quiet and wholeness. I will try to recall this feeling as I go about my day. I will recall that the Guru's grace is always with me, providing me with the support and guidance to be my best self.

When I got up this morning, I felt agitated. There were many concerns on my mind. Then, I listened to Shri Guru Gita on the Siddha Yoga path website. It was like nectar for my soul. The sound of Shri Gurumayi’s voice filled my heart with joy. I experienced so much peace and contentment listening to this divine poetry.

Indore, India

I have been at home, healing from a foot fracture and thinking about my bad luck. But then, my father reminded me to turn to the intense power of Shri Guru Gita. So, the very next morning, I opened the Siddha Yoga path website and recited Shri Guru Gita with Shri Gurumayi. This filled me with happiness and a sense of hope, fulfillment, gratitude, and immense love. I am so grateful to Gurumayi for helping me to remember the Self in one form or another. When I closed my eyes during the meditation following the recitation, I saw images of the Siddha Yoga Ashram in Delhi and of myself offering seva there in the main hall. It was such a blissful experience.

Gurgaon, India

I am filled with such gratitude every morning as I sit to recite Shri Guru Gita. Being able to utilize this recording has helped me develop discipline and commitment to my sadhana. Every morning I recite Shri Guru Gita to give thanks to our beloved Gurumayi.

Stockton, Australia

I feel immensely grateful for this sacred text. In my experience, it helps to open the way to a place of great inner wealth. Recently, I felt drawn to recite Shri Guru Gita every day for a week. As I did this, it seemed as if every single time I sat and recited the sacred verses, new inner vistas would open up. I experienced that the text came alive for me, connecting me to something deep, rich, and satisfying. At times, it has felt as if everything I had ever desired could be attained. Every day, through this practice, I have been taken to the abode of the heart and emerged uplifted, fortified, and full. I have decided to continue this daily chanting practice for the next thirty days—and perhaps beyond.

Today while listening to Shri Guru Gita, I felt as if I was floating in a cool, healing pond of nectar. It was as if I was having a bath after a long hard day. I felt that Shri Guru Gita and the Guru’s grace had cleansed my being.

I experienced that my recitation of Shri Guru Gita this week was a blessing for everyone I came in contact with. What a wonderful start of the year!

New Jersey, United States

Whenever I recite Shri Guru Gita, my whole being fills up with shakti. I am so grateful that the recording is on the Siddha Yoga path website, always there at my fingertips. How fortunate I am to have this wonderful gift!

No matter how many times I recite the sacred text, I always learn something new about its meanings, about myself, about my relationship to Gurumayi. As my inner knowledge grows, my understanding of the nature of this universe expands with each recitation.

Indeed, Shri Guru Gita is the wish-fulfilling tree!

Michigan, United States

Reciting Shri Guru Gita is the Siddha Yoga practice I do the most. I put a picture of Gurumayi, Baba, or Bade Baba in front of me, and I chant along with the CD of Gurumayi reciting it. Sometimes I recite it once in the morning, and at other times—on special occasions—more than once. And if there is something in my life I need to resolve, I sometimes make my recitations into a saptah.

From the time I met the Guru twenty-one years ago and recited Shri Guru Gita for the first time, it has never failed me.

Val-Morin, Canada

I have sometimes wondered about which is more important: self-effort or the Guru’s grace. To me, Shri Guru Gita pulsates with the teachings that the Guru’s grace is paramount. One verse that stands out to me is verse 110, which speaks of the prasad of the Guru’s grace, through which “knowledge of one’s Self arises.” This reflects my experience of life under the tree of Shri Guru’s loving grace.

The word gurumargena, “the path of the Guru,” is also central in this verse, and for me, it points to self-effort—the effort I must make to imbibe the Guru’s teachings.

Reciting Shri Guru Gita every day—which I received as a command in the first words Gurumayi ever spoke to me—allows my being to be cleansed daily and aligned to the vibrations of the miracle and potency of this wisdom.

Washington, United States

This morning I recited Shri Guru Gita despite the fact that I had slept little and was sad and concerned about the health of a family member. I am grateful that I did this practice. At the end of the recitation, I was filled with stillness, which soothed my whole being.

Willemstad, Curacao

I wanted to prepare myself for a perfect and powerful recitation of Shri Guru Gita in honor of Gurumayi’s Birthday. And so I sat in a “perfect” position, concentrating my mind and reciting each line with the clearest possible pronunciation.

Suddenly I heard a gentle voice within me saying, “Be relaxed; enter your heart. Be aware that God dwells within you as you. With this awareness, your recitation of Shri Guru Gita will be perfect.”

I immediately relaxed; my body aligned and became very still, my mind merged with my heart. With great ease and joy, I recited Shri Guru Gita and my heart danced like a butterfly over a summer meadow.

Unterlangenegg, Switzerland

Today, as I was reciting Shri Guru Gita, I realized that what is most important for me in doing the Siddha Yoga practices is to have a more constant experience of the Self. So often, I am preoccupied with finding solutions for all kinds of situations. Lately, however, as I have become more regular in reciting Shri Guru Gita, I can see that my day flows more smoothly and I find solutions even for the most challenging situations.

Willemstad, Curaçao

This morning was the first time I recited Shri Guru Gita in my new house, and the recitation was blissful. I know that it is because of my recitations of Shri Guru Gita that I have been able to weather hard times and achieve great things over the last couple of years.

Reciting Shri Guru Gita is one of my favorite Siddha Yoga practices. And I am very grateful to Gurumayi for the beautiful recording of Shri Guru Gita available on the Siddha Yoga path website.

Zeehan, Australia

During today’s recitation of Shri Guru Gita, verse number 60 unexpectedly touched my soul. As I later contemplated this verse, I became more deeply aware of how precious my Guru is to me.

My soul longs for unconditional love, true knowledge, and fulfilling nourishment. My Guru has always given me everything in abundance and shown me many paths to myself. Whenever I thought there was nothing left to discover, my Guru opened up a new, exciting universe for me. Whenever I thought my heart was overflowing with love and could not take in more love, my Guru gently opened my heart to unimagined vastness. Whenever I felt small and limited, my Guru showed me my true divine being.

Unterlangenegg, Switzerland

Reciting Shri Guru Gita supports me in difficult times. It evokes the energy I need to face obstacles and the wisdom to let them go. When I want to send blessings to people or situations I feel need it, reciting the sacred text is the perfect vehicle for me to do that.

When I recite Shri Guru Gita, I find peace and stability in my thoughts, coolness in my body, and clarity in decision-making.

Pune, India

The Shri Guru Gita recitation with Gurumayi takes me back to my early days as a Siddha Yoga student. Every morning I would promptly arrive at the Siddha Yoga meditation center in my city, at first fumbling with the words and sentences of the sacred text. But I loved how it made me feel! I was in bliss, in harmony with my world.

Ville St. Laurent, Canada

Today I recited Shri Guru Gita in support of a Siddha Yoga student and dear friend who was undergoing surgery. As I did so, I imagined voices around the world reciting the sacred syllables, united in this beautiful way to uplift him and his family as they go through this difficult process.

I’m amazed at how every word of this text seemed to contain extra meaning for me when I offered them in this way. This experience reinforced for me that Shri Guru Gita is a grounding, uplifting, and divine chant that offers comfort, guidance, and love with each recitation.

The greatest blessing in my life is Gurumayi—and the second is Shri Guru Gita. I experience so much grace when I recite Shri Guru Gita! Time and time again I have been amazed at the gracious gifts I receive from reciting it. Shri Guru Gita has been liberating me from the delusions of my ego.

Reciting Shri Guru Gita on a daily basis is not difficult for me as it is a choice I make to be closer to my Guru, Gurumayi, and to move closer to liberation.

Phillip Island, Australia

A few days ago I rearranged the furniture in my meditation room and felt drawn to hang up a cloth wall hanging with an image of Sarasvati. I was surprised to find out that this recitation of Shri Guru Gita was to honor her. I felt that my heart was in sync with the universe!

Recuperating from an illness, I was finally able to recite Shri Guru Gita with the recording on the Siddha Yoga path website. As I listened to Gurumayi’s voice and joined in with the group, my mind quieted, and I was infused with peacefulness.

Harcourt North, Australia

Sometimes I feel resistance to reciting Shri Guru Gita, but then there’s always something inside me that pushes me to do it. Today was such a day.

As I recited the sacred text, focusing on each new verse, the knots in my heart loosened. Afterwards, singing the Arati, I felt Baba’s love. I recalled walking around the holy grounds of Gurudev Siddha Peeth, and my eyes filled with purifying tears. I was filled with joy and light.

I felt blessed, and inwardly shared the blessings of my practice with my beloved family and friends.

I enjoy reciting Shri Guru Gita on the website with the feeling of participating in the Universal Hall with Shri Gurumayi and all of the Siddha Yogis.

Pune, India

For several months now, I have been reciting Shri Guru Gita every day with a friend through Skype. This experience has been very rich. It has become a precious part of my life, and I learn a lot through this practice, especially about my mind, about making friends with my mind, and about learning to love myself for who I am now and not whoever I will become—someday.

Montreal, Canada

The Shri Guru Gita recording on the Siddha Yoga path website enables me to have the divine experience of reciting this sacred text in the Universal Hall with Shri Gurumayi.

I love to participate in this practice daily, and I enjoy the experience of the great peace it often evokes. I am thankful to Shri Gurumayi for giving me the opportunity to have this profound experience regularly.

Today I focused my attention on the feeling with which I recited Shri Guru Gita. I concentrated on each mantra with the utmost care and love. And it was extraordinary!

As the mantras sprang up in my heart and my ears heard the beautiful sounds, I found myself in an exchange of love: a love duet with myself. I never knew I could feel so much love within myself.

Following Shri Guru Gita, my meditation was more silent than ever. I was absolutely present, and I saw beautiful blue light.

Unterlangenegg, Switzerland

I begin most days by listening to Shri Guru Gita on the Siddha Yoga path website. For me, this has become a time of reflection and contemplation, a time I dedicate each morning to the practices and, by extension, to the Self. My mind often resides in the future or in the past, in a state of perpetual movement. However, when I listen to Shri Guru Gita, my mind becomes calm and clear; it settles into the expansive space of Now. Shri Guru Gita is a grounding practice for me. It fills me with the Guru’s love, and I often feel this love emanating from within throughout the rest of the day. I am thankful for the ease with which I can participate in this practice!

Montreal, Canada

On the last day of Pitru Paksha, I recited Shri Guru Gita with the recording on the Siddha Yoga path website because I wanted to offer my ancestors this golden gift. After I prayed to Baba to help me make this offering in the best way, the recitation became easier and more joyful. In the middle of the recitation, I was filled with the blessings of joy and strength; I felt the rasa of nectar as I recited each verse.

I know that Shri Guru Gita is a great gift from the Guru, which enables me to make a golden offering each time I recite it.

Udhana, India

Shri Guru Gita is an energy booster for me. Whenever I feel low or lost, I recite Shri Guru Gita, and I feel that Gurumayi is with me, telling me, “I am with you!”

Mehsana, India

I recite Shri Guru Gita every day. I begin by lighting a candle and standing in the tadasana pose. After the Study Sessions on svadhyaya, I began chanting with my whole body; what a difference this has made! I also focus on the pronunciation. At the end of the recitation, my mind is clear and alert, my body has less tension, and my energy seems to flow freely without any blocks. In the meditation, after each recitation, I often feel contentment.

Erina, Australia

For many years, as soon as I sit to recite Shri Guru Gita, I experience Kundalini starting to sway and dance up and down my spine. Sometimes I ask her: “Who are you?” “Are you God?” “Are you the Guru?” “Are you the goddess Shakti?” And I always hear the same gentle but precise answer within: “I am, I am, I am…”

Ully-Saint-Georges, France

I am filled with gratitude this morning, as I recite Shri Guru Gita. The recitation of this sacred text is a resting place for me. This practice allows me to set aside my worries and anxiety. As I recite the sacred mantras, I feel I am surrendering to the shakti. My awareness becomes focused on grace. In these moments, I feel I’m being showered with peace and love.

On Mother’s Day my teenage daughter and I recited Shri Guru Gita along with the online audio version. I felt very blissful throughout the recitation. Afterwards, when we were meditating, I experienced that I was in Baba’s Samadhi shrine in Gurudev Siddha Peeth. I could smell the scent of tuberose and mogra, and I could feel Baba’s shakti.

I am so grateful for the ability to recite Shri Guru Gita with the online audio, and for the many other ways that we are able to experience Baba’s teachings and shakti.

Barwani,India

Reciting Shri Guru Gita is one of the most beautiful practices of my sadhana. It energizes my being and connects me to my Shri Guru. Each verse is so rhythmic that whenever I recite wholeheartedly, my hands automatically go up in the air as if I were dancing.

I really love verse 125, and sing it with extra enthusiasm. It feels like Baba is singing with me, and we are enjoying the recitation together. I always have “a contented mind” when I feel the presence of my Shri Guru in my life.

Allahabad, India

Some local Siddha Yogis and I have been reciting Shri Guru Gita in our own homes each Thursday morning at 8 a.m. with the recitation on the Siddha Yoga path website. I love it and participate every week.

I set an alarm on my phone to be sure I’m up in time to take a shower, put on fresh clothing, light incense and candles, and have a cup of tea. Before the recitation, I offer intentions for the upliftment of the world, for good health and well-being for everyone, and for a personal goal that is close to my heart. After the recitation and short meditation, I rise and wave a candle to the Guru’s photo as I sing Sadguru ki Arati. What a wonderful way to celebrate the day dedicated to the Sadguru!

California, United States

For me, Shri Guru Gita is a bath for the soul. It calms and quiets, removes sorrows, renews trust, cleanses negativity from my mind, and replaces it with lightness and positivity.

As I sit in silence at the end of the recitation, I realize the value of what the Guru teaches and the freedom that it brings. In that moment, open and honest with myself, I accept myself, just as I am.

Hawaii, United States

I was reciting Shri Guru Gita with great focus on enunciating each syllable. As the recitation progressed, I became aware of the sweetness in each sound. Soon I felt this sweetness trickling from my heart and gently moving around inside my body. It was so nourishing.

Afterwards I felt a tenderness towards everything. And at times throughout the day, I paused and breathed into my heart center to reconnect with this beautiful experience.

With the support of Guru’s grace, I’ve been reciting Shri Guru Gita every day for ten years. Every single word in this sacred text gives me peace and bliss. It allows me to enter into my heart and experience my own divinity. For any question that arises for me, the answer comes through reciting Shri Guru Gita. These daily recitations make me feel the atmosphere of Gurudev Siddha Peeth in my own home. I am very fortunate!

Bangalore, India

This morning before reciting Shri Guru Gita, I made an intention for myself and for peace and love in the world. For me, setting intentions makes my practice of svadhyaya more powerful and full of sweetness. When I began my recitation, I was not feeling very well, but as I chanted Muktananda Mahan, tears came to my eyes, and I felt that the Guru was washing away my negativities. After the recitation, I prayed to Bade Baba, and I experienced tranquility—a sweet, blessed, and beautiful state of mind.

Surat, India

Every morning I listen to the Shri Guru Gita recitation on the Siddha Yoga path website while getting my kids ready for school. Every single morning Gurumayi’s voice fills my heart. It is both my pillar of strength and the warmest comfort at the same time.

Wisconsin, United States

A few weeks ago, I was looking for a chant on the Siddha Yoga path website when my search took me here. Upon hearing Shri Guru Gita, I began to weep tears of gratitude. Now I play Shri Guru Gita often, and I have returned to my earlier practice of reciting the text. As I listen to this recording, memories from my time at Gurudev Siddha Peeth in India come to mind. I am full of love, and I am still weeping with gratitude.

Buenos Aires, Argentina

When I face a rough time, like a difficult interpersonal situation or a death in the family, I turn to reciting Shri Guru Gita for support. It is such a great refuge for me. The divine mystery of Shri Guru Gita from my point of view is the way it aligns me with the beautiful flow of the shakti. It is such a blessing to know that I can connect through this sacred text to the experience of God, Guru, and grace.

Massachusetts, United States

This morning I joined together with other Siddha Yogis to recite Shri Guru Gita, each from our own home. Even though we were not in the same physical space, I felt we were all together. The energy was subtle. It seemed to me as if the snow and the mountains around me were also participating by offering a soft white blanket of protection. I felt the Guru’s grace.

Sainte-Adele, Canada

This morning after reciting Shri Guru Gita, I went out for a walk feeling lighthearted and joyous, verses from the sacred text reverberating sweetly through my mind. Suddenly a loud, angry altercation broke out between two people on the other side of the street. I stopped, as waves of compassion flowed out from my heart toward the two people. I felt the soothing vibrations of Shri Guru Gita embracing us all. There was no judgment, only love and compassion. My heart was full and still.

I felt this glimpse of true compassion was a gift for me from Shri Guru Gita.

Manchester, United Kingdom

What a gift it is to be able to recite Shri Guru Gita at home each day and feel connected to my sadhana family through the live recording!

I am so grateful for the beautiful companion in my life—Shri Guru Gita. It weaves through my days whether through print or recording, and carries my heart along with it. Every beat anchors me and resonates in my being, along with the teachings it expresses.

As an artist, I get very excited when I discover a new idea or technique. The possibility of uplifting people with my art always inspires me. Today I was again very excited about a new idea, but my intention was to take the idea to a new, higher level than my mind could imagine. So I placed the idea in the shrine of my heart and recited Shri Guru Gita with full concentration, and then meditated.

I felt the idea stewing in my heart like a fine dish in the oven. Afterwards, I noticed that my idea had changed; it had become more luminous, more beautiful, more divine, and simply stunning.

I understood that the practices I had performed had calmed and purified my mind, allowing for this beauty to emerge.

Unterlangenegg, Switzerland

I recite Shri Guru Gita daily. Practicing in this way brings me calm, steadiness, and joy. After my recitation, I meditate for a while. This gives me inner peace that I can return to throughout the day.

Allahabad, India

Every morning, before I recite Shri Guru Gita, I look at an image of Bade Baba and ask him what sankalpa or prayer I should bring to my recitation. This morning, I quickly received the guidance to offer my recitation for peace on earth. So I faced north, in accordance with verse 141, and began to recite.

I have noticed that whenever I offer my recitation for other people, or for world peace, I experience the inner shakti as more active, and it feels as if the recitation is even more powerful than usual.

Every day I set my alarm, but I always wake up before it rings—in time for Shri Guru Gita. So I feel the Guru’s grace is supporting me both physically and through inner guidance. After each recitation, I experience a lot of peace, joy, and blessings, including a deep meditation. In this way it is not just a practice for me but a gift in itself.

Surat, India

This morning when I recited Shri Guru Gita, I recalled the guidance we had been given during the Svadhyaya Study Sessions on the Siddha Yoga path website. In doing so, my recitation became light and easeful. It seemed as if streams of sunlight were sparkling and skipping across each verse. It felt as though each word, each line, each verse was dancing joyfully to Bade Baba as an offering of gratitude for his being and endless love. Afterwards I felt an inner peace and calm I will carry with me throughout the day.

Wattamolla, Australia

For me this recitation of Shri Guru Gita with Gurumayi in the Bhagavan Nityananda Temple is so potent, like a blazing fire.

During the whole recitation I feel the divine shakti moving in my body in a strong way. I’m so happy to feel the Guru inside, to feel so clearly that I belong to God and God belongs to me.

Milan, Italy

Since attending the Svadhyaya Study Sessions, I feel like I come to Shri Guru Gita in a completely new way. Instead of “doing” Shri Guru Gita, I “experience” Shri Guru Gita. There are heightened moments when I experience the sacred mantras arising from and being received back into the Self: the ebb and flow; the in-breath and the out-breath; the dialogue between Parvati and Lord Shiva. Shri Guru Gita is sacred indeed and such a gift to support my spiritual journey to its destination.

Melbourne, Australia

I recited Shri Guru Gita today while focusing on the breath. In my meditation afterwards, I experienced such sweetness. I feel so inspired by the talks on svadhyaya. Shri Guru Gita is the center of my life now. I am so grateful for this practice of focusing on the breath and for Shri Guru Gita.

Washington, United States

In today’s recitation of Shri Guru Gita, I followed the guidance we received in the study sessions on svadhyaya, and the energy in both my body and mind became so strong that I had to make an effort not to fall into meditation.

Afterwards, when it was time to meditate, oh, what a delight it was! I experienced my mind as clear as a mountain lake and as quiet as nights in wintertime. I was completely awake and at the same time totally calm and free.

It was a great experience of the Self, and it felt so normal and utterly natural! There was just me and nothing else, and at the same time I felt connected to everything.

Unterlangenegg, Switzerland

Yesterday I received some worrisome news about a family member’s health, and this morning I woke up with a yearning to recite Shri Guru Gita. Doing so gave me courage and peace. I give thanks to my Guru for this invaluable practice.

Reciting Shri Guru Gita awakens me in every way. It reminds me who I am, who the Guru is, and what it means to be alive. It is truly a great mantra!

California, United States

I heard Shri Guru Gita, the greatest love song, for the first time when I visited Gurudev Siddha Peeth in 1991. Gurumayi would herself lead the recitation every morning. At that time, I struggled with the Sanskrit verses and with managing the rhythm, pronunciation, and the pauses.

However, Gurumayi’s presence led me to the hall every dawn. I adopted the graceful posture of Gurumayi and everyone around me as I held the book in my hand at heart level and chanted a few familiar verses. I was enthralled by her presence and the sounds.

After returning home, I approached a more experienced Siddha Yogi in my town and asked her to teach me how to recite Shri Guru Gita. Most patiently, she tutored me until I had learned to recite the complete text.

Since then, svadhyaya of Shri Guru Gita has been an integral part of my sadhana in this lifetime. I ardently pray that this practice remains with me for all lifetimes to come.

Vadodara, India

Reciting Shri Guru Gita with Gurumayi on this recording made me feel very much alive. I could have kept chanting forever, it was so sublime to be in this atmosphere!

Somerville, Australia

In the past few days, I have noticed that after I recite Shri Guru Gita, I am filled with incredible energy and can do things at an astonishing speed. It’s my firm conviction that this is only possible because of the power of Shri Guru’s grace in each and every word of Shri Guru Gita.

Nagpur, India

Reciting Shri Guru Gita with Gurumayi recalls for me the times I was physically present at Shree Muktananda Ashram. Nowadays when I recite this text, which I do almost daily, I focus on pronouncing all the Sanskrit words correctly. And I recite it as if the Guru already lives inside of me—I honor the Guru inside myself. I still have to pull my wandering mind back very often, but I hope that one day I will be able to recite Shri Guru Gita with reverence, purity, and humility. I am very grateful.

Paramaribo, Suriname

When I recite Shri Guru Gita every day, I experience such a powerful connection with the recording available on the Siddha Yoga path website. I love the melodic transitions and musical refinements that help me increase my concentration and experience the shakti more deeply each day. Singing the arati at the end makes my recitation feel “golden,” and I am able to meditate well afterwards.

Udhana, India

When I sit to recite Shri Guru Gita in a focused and easeful manner, harmonizing with the voices of the music ensemble and making the effort to pronounce each verse correctly, I often experience the mantras showering me with grace.

After the recitation, I feel purified, refreshed, blessed, and renewed.

Melbourne, Australia

Years ago a Siddha Yogi relayed an experience to me: back in March 1991, people in the local Siddha Yoga meditation center had gathered to recite Shri Guru Gita with a prayer that it would rain in their region. During the recitation, they heard raindrops on the roof of the center. That was the beginning of “Miracle March” and the end of the drought in the region for that year.

My friend’s experience inspired me, and today I recited Shri Guru Gita with the intention to mitigate the division between people in the United States.

California, United States

On my birthday, I asked myself what gift I should give to myself. The answer was clear: “Recite Shri Guru Gita with Gurumayi on the Siddha Yoga path website.”

The recitation of Shri Guru Gita brings me close to the bliss of my inner being. I’m grateful for this precious birthday gift!

Thun, Switzerland

My husband and I have been reciting Shri Guru Gita with this recording every day. It has become one of the most beautiful parts of our day, a reason to dress up and celebrate. After breakfast, we clean our meditation room, place candles near all the sacred pictures, and then put on special clothing. As we chant, I imagine myself in the Temple with Gurumayi, our Siddha Yoga friends, and the worldwide community of Siddha Yogis.

New York, United States

Sometimes if I am feeling sad or disconnected, I listen quietly to Shri Guru Gita, and it brings me back to peacefulness and the Guru’s unconditional love. I am so grateful for modern technology and the Siddha Yoga path website that allows me to listen to Shri Guru Gita anywhere, anytime, with my mobile phone and earbuds!

I was delighted to discover this version of Shri Guru Gita on the Siddha Yoga path website recently. I really like the short meditation after the text. Now I have morning meditation as well as night meditation. Perfect!

At the moment, I’m refining my daily schedule of practices. So after reciting with Gurumayi using this version, I am playing the CD of Baba’s recitation of Shri Guru Gita when I have morning tea and prepare for the day. Baba’s company is very peaceful.
