Over the last two months I had been feeling critical of a friend's behavior. My speaking about this with them did not change their behavior. When I asked myself, "Who is affected most here?" I realized it was me: it was changing my thought patterns and my behavior with others.
I decided not to tell anyone to change, but instead to watch my own behavior. I realized that to follow Gurumayi's teachings, I have to let go of my expectations about others' behavior and do more self-inquiry. When I started working on this, I felt relaxed and connected to Gurumayi's grace.
Last night I was wondering, "Am I going in the right direction?" The next morning I visited the Siddha Yoga path website, and read Gurumayi's teaching in Divya Sukta
8. I felt so grateful that her grace had been guiding me to move in the right direction.
