For me, the state of peace feels like smooth, silky velvet lining my inner being. It is an incomparable, unmatchable experience. To successfully navigate this world today, I feel that the quality of peace is absolutely necessary to maintain my connection with the Self, my heart, and thus with the experience of true lasting happiness.

So, I most definitely pray: May I be A Temple of Deep Peace. May peace prevail and abound throughout all of humanity, and in this entire world.

There are many majestic trees where I live. As I walk by each one, I’m struck by how, at its base, each tree is rooted in total stillness and peace, yet in its canopy, that perfect peace supports a seemingly infinite number of leaves, each fluttering in its own movement, in its own particular rhythm with the wind.

This, for me, is the meaning of A Temple of Peace—at the source is the silent stillness of the universal Self, out of which rise myriad forms.

When I read the phrase A Temple of Peace, it tugged at my heartstrings. It just seemed to describe the most perfect and beautiful destination to live in, especially considering the turbulence in the world today. It is a temple where each of God’s creations can live fearlessly, with dignity, and in abiding peace.
